Our students got to know other young people and were able to get so much out of a study abroad experience. The price is right! Just outside of the main center of town so it is not too noisy but close enough to night life that everyone could do what they wanted.

Modern, young and welcoming space . Capacity 29 people . 2 Rooms for 17 people in bunk beds , 1 family room for 5 people and a studio with kitchen and private toilet for 7 people. Equipped kitchen. Indoor and outdoor garden . Ample social areas. Located in the Historic area of the city and 200 meters walk from the castle.

Reviewed By Gingcong SThe hostel is very beautiful and situated is chic area and with good price, the location is good and just 5 unites walk to the Palace and Castle. for go to the bus station of Guimaraes is walk about 20 minutes. All historic places is just near the hostel. The hostel is very clean and the host is friendly and with her very good communication. The breakfast is delicious and lots of choice.

TM Guest House is an historic building located in Guimarães old town and offers comfortable apartments just 1 km from the iconic Guimarães Castle. Free WiFi access is available throughout the property. The renovated apartments at TM Guest House feature a modern décor and parquet floors, with floor-to-ceiling windows providing plenty of daylight. All rooms have views of the street. TM Guest House offers studios and 1 and 2-bedroom apartments with kitchen / kitchenette which accommodate 2, 3 or 4 people. All are equipped with fridge, hob, extractor, washing machine, flat-screen TVs and air-conditioning. Some kitchens also have an oven, microwave and coffee maker. Towels and bed linen are provided. On the ground floor of TM Guest House there are some modern restaurants and cafes where guests enjoy a meal. Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport is a 40 minute-drive away from this guest house and Guimarães Train Station is 1.5 km. Guests can find plenty of museums and historic churches a short walk away.

Quirky and great location
Reviewed By NomadicTraveller7We liked being so close to the castle and above the medieval town, however it was quite a walk from the railway station downhill at first and then uphill. I suggest taking a taxi if you are coming from the railway station, particularly in the heat from June to September. With a car, I am not sure where you could park. The apartment was OK, but it was hot and there was some traffic noise from the rather steep road outside. The bedroom was up a steep metal staircase. The kitchen was reasonably well equipped, and we managed to prepare breakfast and salads. It was reasonable value for money.
