Selina Milfontes is located in the center of Milfontes, surrounded by sparkling, whitewashed buildings. This is the liveliest area of Vila Nova de Milfontes, full of many restaurants, and stone’s throw from the beaches that surround it. Located halfway between Lisbon and Faro, Villa Nova de Milfontes is a small coastal town with a picturesque, sandy beach. Favored by locals, it’s largely undiscovered by foreign visitors. Delight in traditional Portuguese cobbled streets and remarkable views of the relatively untouched beaches. Enjoy fresh seafood and a taste of real Portugal while catching up on some serious relaxation.
Disappointing experience - bad value for money!
Reviewed By Vania APrivate rooms were in bad conditions for the price you pay. Horrible smell coming from the bathrooms, mold in the shower and flush broken and generally not clean. Several other people staying there reported the same issues in their rooms. Staff was well aware of all issues and pretended it was an isolated case and did nothing to solve it. No real community feeling since restaurant is private and caters mostly outside guests. I love the idea behind Selina but this location lacks seriously in executing it. Never coming back and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

Reviewed By 71dgNous étions un groupe de 4 séniors arrivé le 6/9 au Pirata Hostel pour 3 nuits. D'emblé, la responsable reconnait que le dortoir attribué (8m2) n'est pas conforme à la demande et nous promet de nous déplacer pour les 2 nuits suivantes. Au 2ème soir pas de déménagement possible malgré nos protestations et fin de non recevoir de la responsable. Nous aurions pu comprendre si les autres dortoirs avaient été occupés pour une durée similaire, mais ils furent loués chaque soir à des clients différents. Petite précision, l'établissement n'est équipé que d'un lavabo pour 10 personnes!!! Cet établissement ne mérite pas sa note vu sur certain site, il y a tellement mieux ailleurs à Vila Nova de Milfontes. Guesné dominique

A pretty pleasant part of Portugal
Reviewed By sadeeyorBeja, under-the-radar capital of the biggest district in Portugal, is an easy-going, friendly-feeling, unpretentious, gently attractive small city that feels more like a big village. Well worth a stop-over, especially if day-tripping to Baixo Alentejan delights such as Mertola. Problem: a Dearth of accommodation. Fortunately, this amiable few-frills youth hostel bridges that chasm. Without it, the simple overnighting Bejan charms would be lost to the outsider. Particularly handy for the bus station, and the old town's an easy stroll away. A pretty pleasant part of Portugal.

Reviewed By KathleenR_28Compared to other Pousadas de Juventude I have stayed at, this place, by far, seems to be the oldest and most tired looking. However, the staff are friendly and efficient, the rooms are clean and I even had a heater in the room. The breakfast was filling ... the usual bread, cheese, butter, fruits, yoghurt, jam. The lounge areas are colourful and spacious. Good value for the price.

Reviewed By João RVery good family run hostel. Its right in the center of the village... A few steps from the beach. Great welcoming process! The hostel has everything you need, from hair dryer to to fridge with ice. Two toilets/showers - very clean and spacious. The room was good . Not to spacious. The lookers were very good and the bed with individual electronic outlets. Free towels. Super WiFi .. very friendly staff. Would return for sure. 9.5/10. Disliked · A small breakfast would make this place a 10/10. Wish there was a desk in the dormitory room.

Reviewed By AmoreviagensO hostel fica cerca de 25 min de carro da Vila Nova de Mil Fontes, uma parte do percurso é feito pela estrada de chão que é cheia de buracos mas a tranquilidade do local faz esquecer o percurso. Os comodos do hostel são bons e bem equipados, ficamos em uma parte da casa que tem um quarto com cama de casal e outro quarto com duas camas de solteiro, casa de banho e cozinha, tudo muito limpo e bem organizado. O Sr. do hostel foi muito simpatico e nos indicou locais para passear a noite, o hostel fica a 15 min de carro das praias de Porto Covo é ideal para quem procura paz e sossego e praias por perto.

Reviewed By hgg2018Wir buchten ein 2 Bett Zimmer ( lt Buchungsbestätigung) und sollten bei Ankunft ein Supermini Zimmer mit Stockbett/ bunkbed beziehen. 1. hatten wir dies nicht gebucht und 2. war uns dies auf Grund unseres Alters 67Jahre leider nicht möglich. Die Besitzerin leider völlig uneinsichtig bzw. arrogant unkooperativ. Aus unserer Sicht eine ganz bewusste Kundentäuschung also Betrug.

Reviewed By Sara_O_ooooL'ostello è molto piacevole. Purtroppo era un giorno di pioggia quindi non ho potuto usufruire del patio. Cucina molto spaziosa e abbastanza fornita. Bagno pulito. Possibilità di tendere i panni all'aperto (pioggia permettendo). Vicinissimo ad un supermercato ben fornito. 10 minuti a piedi dal centro e dalla fermata dell'autobus.
