Quite possible the cleanest hostel ever
Reviewed By roamsweetroam91Stayed here in January 2019 for 3 nights. The rooms were spacious and incredibly clean. The beds were comfy. We arrived super early in the morning having just gotten the train from Mandalay. They provided us with an early breakfast and recommended we check out the free Bagan tour. (You only pay for your scooter hire, which is reasonably priced). The tour was great and e saw some gorgeous temples that weren't completely crowded. The other ostello bello just up the road has great nightlife. This one is quieter but does have a pool and reasonably priced beers.

Maya Bagan has 1 bunglalow which holds 3 private rooms and 2 terrace buildings which hold 8 dormitories. MB has restaurant and bar in a beautiful garden. There are common areas to meet new people and places to chill and read books under the trees.

Reviewed By 763asafdStaff are not nice and not helpful. The rooms are not clean and even nasty.it was my worst stay at Myanmar .I run away after one night. This place not in a good location and far from everything... Not worth the money

Nice place with great potential
Reviewed By MauriVarese_ItalyThe Hotel is really nice, with beautiful and clean rooms around a nice garden. The staff is really kind even thought most of them need to improve a bit English. Breakfast is ok, but they should avoid to provide the full set to every customer, leaving everyone decide what they want to eat. Sometimes a bit of smell comes from the toilet, but I think they just need to provide a good WC deodorant in every room. a really good value for money considering position and dimension of rooms.

Reviewed By jayvergService was courteous, welcoming and staff always smiled and greeted us. Location is very good Mattresses are confortable Sink in the bathroom had a leaking pipe, so all the water went on to the bathroom floor. No sheets were o the bed for us to cover ourselves with, except for the blankets. No towels in the room. Very simple breakfast, only bread and jam. Room door is a window door, with a partial curtain, so privacy is not so certain

Birthday Trip! Excellent stay, staff and activities!!!!
Reviewed By TurboTravelerTashaThis was my favorite hostel in Myanmar!!! I stayed here 3 nights. Booked the private room as I wanted to splurge for my 36th birthday. Great decision! Clean, comfortable room. Friendly staff! Delicious restaurant on site and the bar was very convenient! I met so many amazing people here from all over the world. The activities and free tours they provide made everything so easy (esp for solo travelers). I was able to sign up the day before. I did the free Bagan tour, Mt. Popa tour, sunset boat trip on my birthday which was the highlight!! We had such a fun time on the boat, drinking and dancing. Gorgeous sunset. By the end of the evening, we were like family. The staff even provided a birthday cake and sang "happy birthday!" along with all my new friends at the hostel. If you want to rent motorbikes, there is a place right next to the hostel. Very cheap. Location is excellent! You are on the main road so lots of restaurants and a place to exchange money (inside a grocery store). There are 2 massage places within walking distance too. Have fun and enjoy! Thank you Ostello Bello for such a memorable birthday!!!

One among the nicest hostels
Reviewed By MaliniBalachandranThis was a nice place with excellent facilities. The dorm was very clean and the staff were helpful. The best thing is that there is a separate dorm for those who arrive early and leave late. If you arrive early, you can store your luggage and catch some sleep until check-in. And, the same for check out. There are some great view points nearby. The hostel also arranges free sunset/sunrise tours. In all my years of travel, this is the first place where I made a lot of friends! I stayed here in December 2019.

We arrived very early to Bagan, yet we were admitted by the hotel even before the check-in time, which we highly appreciated, since we were extremely tired and dizzy after the night train from Mandalay. The rooms and showers were very clean, the employees always ready to help with just about anything! They drove us to Mt. Popa, provided E-Bikes for a day discovering trip and helped us calling a restaurant where we had forgotten something. I would definitely come again, this was our best stay in Myanmar of the whole month journey! Thank you!

This hotel has done major renovations and increased number of rooms, new swimming pool and extension for breakfast room, renovated all rooms and changed carpet room to wooden floor. Changed all amenities in rooms (TV, curtain, minibar, telephone, all sitting chairs, modern style for dressing table, minibar, etc). All the bat rooms are attached with bath-tub (hot & cold) shower. 24 hour service and free wifi in room and all areas in hotel. This hotel is sister hotel of Hotel Yadanarbon Mandalay and management team also same with Mandalay.
nice service and good swimming pool
Reviewed By htet238I stayed 2 nights at Standard Room. The cost is really very less but the service is valued. The breakfast served varities of choice which is impressive. You can have a walk nearby hotel with Bagan breeze. The best is Chicken Salad :) I had it about 3 times during 2 days. The staffs are very friendly and lovely smiles :)

Reviewed By Allan152I enjoyed my stay here and certainly will stay again. The staff are friendly and helpful. It is well located. Some temples are within walking distance, if you like to hoof it. Tuk Tuks are always available. It is near restaurants, a bank is a few doors down, and the post office (if you send post cards) is across the street. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the price is very reasonable, and they have a small swimming pool, if you care for an afternoon splash. An excellent breakfast buffet is included. The restaurant is also open for lunch and dinner. Don't miss their tomato salad! I cannot answer questions related to COVID, as I was there just before the pandemic exploded.

Reviewed By Karen JWe stayed in the family room- 2 sets of bunk beds with shared bath. The room was small but provided everything we needed as a family of four (2 adults + 2 teenagers). When not in our room or exploring we enjoyed taking in the view by the rooftop pool or playing pool in the lobby. A simple but tasty breakfast buffet was included each morning and the reasonably priced lunch and dinner options were also enjoyable. Great location with a variety of local restaurants and shops in the area. Our only complaint was that the free bikes are not very well maintained. Other than that I highly recommend this hostel.
