Neat park with concrete pads

Thought beach was in walking distance of park. Guess it could be. Three blocks to the beach. The best part of the stay was a great park host who is friendly and keeps his park very well maintained. Did I mention real, functional high speed internet and functional washers and dryers?

Best RV Park on the Peninsula

From the moment we pulled in to the moment our camper left the property, Tiffany and Kelly made sure we had everything we needed to make our stay perfect! While setting up our site, I realized that my power cord was missing. Kelly took time out of his busy day and built a cord for me out of spare parts he had in the shop. The park is well kept and improvements are still being made to make it even better. Sunday morning while I was packing up, my wife decided to go fishing in the lake behind our spot. Kelly came down and mowed the area, even though it had been mowed recently, just to make sure it was as nice as possible for her. I could go on and on, but if you're looking for a place that truly takes care of all your needs, this is THAT place. Tiffany, Kelly, we can't thank you enough for all you did.

Great Getaway Spot

We spent Monday through Thursday nights here at the end of May and beginning of June. This RV Park is located on the main highway that runs down the Bolivar Peninsula, so it was easy in and out from I-10 interstate, Winnie, TX exit, to Highway 87, and the RV Resort. We did not use the ferry. We did visit Travis Park near the Ferry, nice historical park. The driveway and sites are concrete and flat, and there is enough space between them. Our spot was A4. We had a quick easy walk to the pool which is located on the second deck. I had it mostly to myself around 6pm. There is shadow over the pool at this time and no mosquitos. There is also a third deck called Serenity area for adults. At the entrance to the park, there is a very nice community room and playground for children. At the sites, there are no picnic tables, grills, or fire rings except the community one at the rear of the park. The grass is well trimmed, and the park is very well maintained. We had ants. The maintenance man came and sprayed; problem solved. Ms. M. answers text messages promptly and is friendly. We used the WIFI code and was able to use our smart tv. This is a great park, near the beach and you get what you pay for. We enjoyed our stay at Bolivar RV Resort and plan to visit again.

Don't waste your time or money

I'll be nice and say this place may possibly have potential some day. That day was not any of the days we stayed last weekend. First off this place is extremely expensive. For the money they are charging you'd expect (at a bare minimum) clean pools, a working sound system, working WiFi, food service that didn't take an hour, firewood for sale when they state you can't bring your own, an actual view of the beach for a "beach club", employees that didn't each have their own set of rules, not to have to walk around construction equipment and hear the popping of nail guns, and the list goes on. We were given the total bait and switch with this trip. I find it funny that when we booked months ago all the sites appeared full (presumably an effort to make you think it would sell out), but our section was practically empty. I get needing the revenues to support the place, but don't charge full price for 1/2 service. Maybe try not having so many employees working instead. Does it really take five girls to man the entrance to the pool and more to wander around laughing an ignoring the guests all day? There was really nothing extraordinary about this place unless, I suppose, you want to pony up another $2500 a day to rent the VIP cabanas. What a joke. This place will be out business in no time if they don't up their game dramatically. We talked with so many people there during our stay and not a single one had a positive thing to say. There are simply too many other and better options available. I highly doubt we will ever be back. On a positive note, they had electricity, water and a hole in the ground to dump your sewage through....
