Our Alaska lodge is a great place to experience world class fresh water river fishing. All 5 species of salmon are available in our rivers. We are within walking distance of the boat launch so our multi-day guests enjoy maximum fishing time by eliminating hours of travel. In addition to our all-inclusive packages (lodging, meals, guided fishing) we offer nightly cabin rental and daily charters.
Fishing was great, and the VIP service was even better. Jim, Steve, and Brett were phenomenal guides. Knew where the fish were and how to catch them. Maria is an excellent chef and hostess. My family had the greatest trip ever. And what a value to get all that at less than half of other Alaska fishing lodges. Can't wait to return.

Mid-way between Willow and Talkeetna, Alaska...20 miles north of Willow and 26 miles south of Talkeetna, this is a great mid-way place to stay between Anchorage and Denali National Park. Three lovely "edge of the wilderness" vacation cabin rentals overlook Upper Caswell Lake, 5 miles from George Parks Highway #1 at Milepost 87.9. Centrally located near many outdoor activities and attractions, cabins are quiet and private...the perfect place to unwind and enjoy the peaceful sights and sounds of nature between your local adventures. All cabins have kitchens/kitchenettes and are fully furnished, just bring food and clothes! Cabin rentals include WiFi, use of paddle boat, mountain bikes, outdoor gazebo, gas grill and fire pit. Freezer space and outdoor fish cleaning station are also complimentary for our angling guests.
Larry and Linda are friendly and gracious hosts. We stayed in the five person cabin which has two bathrooms and is split for privacy into two parts. It was well equipped, although you need to bring a hairdryer if you require one. Our boys fished. This is close to Talkeetna where we did ATV rides and drove to Denali. If you plan to go to Denali, but want to save mo way by staying a little farther away, this is a great choice.

We are a bed and breakfast that serves a family style breakfast each morning. Our rooms are clean and comfortable. We have 3 rooms to choose from. Check our Airbnb and Facebook page for more pictures and reviews.
Big Susitna B&B was a lucky find for us. We wanted to find somewhere between Anchorage and Denali, and do some fishing. Not only was Big Susitna a comfortable B&B with a wonderful breakfast, but also near some fishing to satisfy my needs. Tammy and Brad made us feel right at home, and provided lots of local advise. If we ever get to return to Alaska, we will try to stay at Big Susitna again.

Wonderful B&B with an added bonus of sled dogs. Nice apt. to base your travels around the Mat-Su borough. Vern and Susan are the nicest people you'll meet. Cindy might take you for a ride behind a dog team. I'll stay here again.

The Schwager house was recommended to us on a previous visit to Alaska. We tried it. It was the best move we could have made. We stayed in both cabins and it couldn't have been better. Herb and Tina were the best hosts you could ask for. No down sides whatsoever. The setting is absolutely beautiful and the time there was wonderful. First Class all around - Simply the Best. Will always stay with them from now on. No reason to even look for another place with how happy and pleased we were with The Schwager Haus. 20 out of 10 with no embellishment. Mark Smith

Experience the real Alaska on our 200 acre estate with two private lakes, boating, fishing, hiking and walking trails around property. All rooms have private baths. Close to fishing at Willow Creek and close to historic Hatchers Pass. Two and half hours from Denali National Park and 90 minutes north of Anchorage.
Kathy & Jim have terrific place with a lake out back. My room was appointed with an Alaskan theme. The room was spotless and comfortable. The breakfasts were filling and delicious. Ask for the baked oatmeal with cranberries and nuts. I would be more than happy to stay here again.
