Great location but needs some improvements
Reviewed By PsychoGeminiI'd passed by this hotel many times as I've stayed in a different hotel in the neighborhood on previous trips. I finally decided to stay here as the prices were right for my trip. The room was spacious and clean and I appreciated the separate shower room and bathroom. There were plenty of channels available on the TV and the electronic safe gave me some peace of mind. I also had a good view of the main road from the shower and bathroom windows. The rooftop lounge area also offered great views of the neighborhood. That being said, there could be some improvements made. The biggest problem is the lack of soundproofing in the building. I had some fairly noisy guests in the room next to mine who I heard for two or three nights and people walking and talking in the halls can clearly be heard. Noise from the bathroom and shower pipes were also highly audible. I found one roach in my room but took care of it quickly. Thankfully I found no others for the rest of my nights there. Another problem were the dryers in the laundry area. One of them was not functioning properly and the ones that did were not strong enough so it took at least two hours to properly dry my clothes. Keep this in mind when washing clothes. Overall it was a good stay and it was nice being in a more spacious hotel than on my previous trips. However, the noise and laundry issues might keep me away for any extended stays.

Reviewed By tzuyuhereNot just nice interiors throughout the entire hotel, the numbers of sockets and usb hub is really helpful for travellers. The check-in service was very kind. A bonus is that this hotel is only 10 min walk from a night market that no tourist visit.

Excellent place to stay near Chuanfanshi rock beach
Reviewed By Rolands PIf you are looking for a place to stay near Sail Rock (Chuanfanshi) beach area - this is the the best choice at the time when I am writing this review. Be sure to try take a 3rd floor balcony rooms since this offers best way to enjoy scenery, and rooms are really comfortable. afternoon tea that you get after check in is actually much more than afternoon tea - it is a whole buffet dining experience, so when you check in be sure to not miss the time when it is served. They also offer shuttle bus to Kenting night market, so this is not an issue as well.

careful of wording
Reviewed By carmen303we booked two bedrooms online and chose this hotel because it specified it had 'adjoining' rooms (Note, NOT adjacent), however when we checked in, hotel claimed adjoining rooms 'do not exist' - which to be fair they suggested it could be 3rd party agents (Agoda) that mistranslated. apart from that, rooms are very decent in size, very clean and has a decent balcony. however our room was on the 8th floor facing the bridge/highway and the noise level was quite high late into the evening ( bearable but if those who are sensitive may take note). the coolest thing this hotel offers is a room service to an extremely famous local eatery whereby even if you go at 5am (that's when it opens ) the line is horrendous. However this hotel allows you to place an order with them the night before (cut off time 10:30pm) and you can arrange what time they bring it to your doorstep (for a small service charge). i would come back again for the price/location/ cleanliness/ size of room :)

Nice room with great view at a great location with reasonable price
Reviewed By jamesng_sfHu Yue is conveniently located at the Yidashao ferry terminal at Sun Moon Lake. Staff is friendly and helpful The Lake view room is spectacular. Room is very well maintained with all the needed necessity. Since it's right at the Yidashao market, all the restaurants or Taiwanese snack place are in walking distance. The included breakfast was outstanding as well, offering wide range of variety. Hu Yue is great for both family with kids, or couples who is looking for a romantic getaway.

For the Price we had much better Hotels in Taiwan. Some Stuff disappeared from our luggage we are not sure but suspect it disappeared at this hotel. I dont understand why the reviews are good its really bad even for a cheap hostel/hotel.

Also not far from the hotel there is a night market and a traditional market. Several department stores are near by. It’s quite convenient.

Reviewed By LVFRAZIERCleaver use of space. It is very small tight space. My daughter and I chose a bunk bed. We both have personal space to place our suitcase and personal items. Clean space with communal bathroom separated by gender. Location is perfect and close train and night market. We love the energy in the neighborhood. Don't forget to indulge in the Street Food! They are better than restaurant meals. It is definitely money well spend!
