Family owned country hotel. Located right by road nb 1. Only 10 min drive from Jökulsárlón, Glacier lagoon. We offer comfortable double and triple rooms and apartments. Restaurant and museum on site. Open all year around. Breakfast buffet, bed linen, towels, free wi-fi and taxes included in all room rates.
Great dinner
Reviewed By Rain WStayed for one night in the cabin/cottage, which is separate from the other rooms. Two bedrooms and one living/kitchen, stocked with the general things you need from a kitchen. It was very clean. However, we did not find the beds/linen to be particularly comfortable compared to other places we stayed on our Ring Road trip. Check-in happens in the restaurant. Don't drive all the way in to where the rooms are, if you're following Google Maps. Just stop basically as soon as you turn into the farm. There is signage indicating the reception/restaurant building. Breakfast was simple but had a number of Icelandic specialties. Dinner was the highlight of our stay. Prices are in line with Iceland pricing, but everything tasted fantastic! We had both the char and the lamb and dessert was apple cake. Everything was delicious and we spent the rest of our trip comparing the food with what we ate at Hali's. Location is a little bit far from everything, but if you're going around the entire Ring Road, I would recommend stopping here. I would definitely return just for the food alone.

Reviewed By SandraDerdenWe stayed at the guesthouse and it was very clean, cozy and comfortable. It had everything we needed. Add the superb waterfront location to that, the hot tub and very sweet dog and you can imagine that we had an amazing stay here. Would definitely recommend it to everyone!

They offer free wifi but even though its written on googlemaps, they do in fact not have an airport shuttle (however there are a few public transportations). Be careful when consider using said public transportations, they do not always stop where they should.

Reviewed By sturla-marWe stayed twice at Guesthouse Dyngja which is situated right at the harbour. It is nice and clean with cooking facilities, free coffee, muesli and youghurt anr good beds. The host is so friendly and helpful. We would stay there again.

Reviewed By MarionV787We hadden een prima ruime kamer met prima bedden en alleengebruik van keuken, met een complete keukeninrichting, en badkamer omdat wij de enige gasten waren. Bijzonder dat de eigenaar vertelde dat voor het geval we vanwege de sneeuw de ochtend na de overnachting niet weg zouden kunnen hij zou regelen dat we weg zouden komen van het terrein.

Nice Room and breakfast
Reviewed By kimberkjpMy family and I stayed here 1 night. Our bedroom was on the second floor and the steps were steep and narrow. The room was nice and warm. There was a tv downstairs and a make-shift kitchen. The bathroom was downstairs and the showers downstairs down the hall. The breakfast was nice. It was an ok hotel, but the hotel was full and with that many people sharing bathrooms and showers it just wasn’t exactly what I was hoping for.

Reviewed By Seema551The cottage was excellent. It had everything that we needed for an overnight stay. Check in instructions were clear and communicated well ahead of our arrival. This came in handy as we reached the cottage quite late.

Reviewed By Wai'oli Sue BWe had a lovely one night stay here. The owner was incredibly nice and the breakfast spread was delicious! The homemade skyr was so good! The room itself was very cute, beds were comfortable with black out curtains which helped since the sun is out til midnight! The landscape around here is surreal, it’s very quiet and the vast open space with the mountains as the backdrop we’re just stunning. We’ll definitely come back and stay here.

Reviewed By Antoine REverything looks like a premium guesthouse. Rooms are clean and beautiful, restaurant is good, staff is friendly. But some little details are disappointing. I may be unluncky : the guesthouse was having some renovation so no outside spa, no parking and access to rooms via staff entrance. There was an issue with the table I booked, I finally had a table on the other side of the restaurant, next to the staff entrance instead of the window table. Finally, I stayed in the room next to the WC and it sounds as a waterfall when a guest was using them. Overall it's a great guesthouse but attention to details could be better.
