Big campground

Very spatious campground, nice big kitchen to cook and eat your food. You can eat in their small restaurant. Very nice and helpfull people at the reception. The shower was not so clean because of tourists who did not follow the rules (shoes).

Nattura Yurtel

Welcome to a new way to experience Iceland’s Golden Circle. Sleep in one of nine custom-made yurts, built in Mongolia but inspired and furnished in contemporary Icelandic design. This is glamping at its best – sleeping under canvas yet with the comfort of private wash facilities and underfloor heating.

Charming and accommodating Golden Circle lodging

Reviewed By annaeepetersen

We stayed at Nattura Yurtel for two nights during our week in Iceland. We were so pleased with the ease of check-in and our yurt when we arrived late on our first night. We found all of the amenities to be extremely well appointed, including the shower, breakfast yurt, and our bathroom and kitchen areas within our yurt. The location was also excellent. From our yurt, we could see geysirs erupting the distance as well as the “sunset” over the mountains. Gullfoss and the geothermal area are both right up the road, and Thingvellir NP was also easily accessible for an afternoon trip. Perhaps best of all was the graciousness and friendliness of our host. She provided lots of helpful information prior to check-in and was able to give local recommendations for during our stay. She also loaned us chargers for Icelandic outlets, going above and beyond to ensure that our stay was convenient and comfortable. We would happily stay again or recommend staying here to anyone touring Iceland’s Golden Circle!

Had some issues

Reviewed By nyegirl

When we arrived there was a note stating to check in at the restaurant. The restaurant was closed due to flooding or something. Luckily we ran in to some other travelers who had called the establishment. We were told the door to our room was open and to just go in. The room was fine, not great, but fine. However, the shower didn't drain so you had to turn the water off while showering or you would flood the floor. The piece holding the handheld shower head was broken so you had to hold it. The rain shower was not that great. The floor is slippery when coming out of the shower and there was no bath mat and no extra towel to put on the floor.

A little gem

Reviewed By Justine J

Fantastic little lodges. Spotlessly clean and fantastic walk in shower. Toasty warm inside after a cold wet day. Netflix available to use. Super comfy bed and everything we needed for a very enjoyable stay. Super friendly dogs who love to fetch their ball. Would definitely recommend. Much better than a hotel.

Must Do!

This place was awesome! The lady who ran the place was super nice and helpful! We had access the house with bathrooms, showers, and hot chocolate, the barn with a cozy hangout area, and of course the tent. The tent was super warm! We arrived late, so we told her ahead of time and she was so kind to start the heater in our tent and mattress. The heat was perfect! We would definitely come back!

What a Cozy Barrel!

Reviewed By W7022VGtoddt

This establishment is tucked away in one of the coziest corners of the island , and it took me a while to find. It is a bit of a walk from town if you have a lot of luggage. The scenery of the mountains above , with grazing sheep, is awesome. My “barrel “ was clean, cozy and warm! The decor was homey! The shared kitchen, showers, and toilets were immaculately clean..... perhaps a bit of a walk for some. . The kitchen and dining area was was sizable and well-organized.....take your shoes off before entering! The owner was very friendly and eager to inform you on the islands sights. Overall, my two night stay was a great experience , at a reasonable price!

Loved it!!

Reviewed By 49JW

What a fun experience. The campers are fairly new and beautiful. The beds were comfortable. Wonderful views. Nice large deck for each unit. Highly recommend staying here. You are given a code and the keys are left in a lockbox. Full refrigerator and microwave in each camper. The water pressure in the shower wasn’t the but manageable.

Beautiful stylish apartment in the middle of nowhere.

Reviewed By Lorna087

We stayed in the two bedroom apartment offered by Hekla Adventures which is down the road from the farm. It is in a stunning remote location with all modern amenities, beautifully clean with a tasty breakfast tray delivered each day. It's a handy location for many South coast attractions.
