Good average hotel, clean & well maintained
Reviewed By accessclgWe've stayed at this hotel perhaps a dozen times over 5 or 6 years and find it consistently clean and well maintained. A few days ago our son checked the price before we arrived in Glendive and it looked like the price online had been raised ridiculously high and they were charging a fee for pets. Upon arriving in Glendive, on impulse we checked in person and were told the charge would be $113, no extra for our dog, so we stayed. Next time, maybe not if we're given a higher rate, as the hotel isn't worth it. The breakfast is finally back to being a good one, with hot options. Whoever buys some of their cold items though, must have the preferences of a child. An example being the yogurt, which has been and still is, a Dole product with thick, sweet syrup on top with a few little pieces of pineapple. I wouldn't feed it to anyone whose health I cared about. Ditto the cold cereal options. This was the kind of junk the hotel put in sacks during Covid restrictions when there was no hot breakfast. The only real complaint I have is with the pillows. They are filled with something truly hard. No give at all. No idea what the fill is, but it's mighty uncomfortable. Better are hotels with a choice of pillow on the bed and probably best to err on the soft side.

Good location and great food
Reviewed By clowndogLocated right next to the interstate makes this a convenient place to stay. All the staff were friendly and the room was clean. The fixtures and fittings are tired and dated and good do with renewing. The restaurant and bar were both excellent, food was delicious.

Hotel is conveniently located Off I-94 exit 215. It has restaurant/bar within walking distance. Hotel has indoor pool with Jacuzzi, complimentary breakfast buffet, exercise room, business center, wireless and WIFI, guest laundry, luggage room, outdoor patio. The hotel is all interior corridors. Rooms are available in 1 king, 2 queens and suites. All the rooms have micro/fridge units, Wireless and hardwired, iPod alarm clock radios, internet, hair dryers, iron/boards, coffee makers, Cable TV.
Impossible to contact, charged my credit card in error, pool was closed

On the front desk sits a misspelled sign stating the pool is closed -- I got the impression the sign had probably been sitting there a while. I waited in line to cancel my reservation, which they let me do. I go pay a significantly higher cost to stay in the Holiday Inn instead. Two days later my credit card is charged for the full cost of the Astoria stay. What a pain. Also, before arriving at the hotel, I needed to contact them regarding my reservation (had mistakenly made the reservation for one person only, but we actually a family of four) and neither the e-mail address on the website nor the phone number actually work.

Best hot tub and pool in town

I had booked Holiday Inn earlier and I found out that their pool has been out of service for a while and my kids really wanted to have access to a pool. I found out that the only working pool and hot tub is at Fairbridge and I switched to it. Absolutely amazing pool and hot tub. Super clean rooms and staff is very friendly. Breakfast is really good as well. Highly recommend to stay here!

Reviewed By jingva307212Needs to have USB plug ins so we can charge our cell phones. Restaurant was having some issues. Our scrambled eggs were not cooked thoroughly, our toast was just warmed up bread and the soda machine wasn't working so there were no refills.

Nice hotel
Reviewed By Tacoboy4000Standard HIE. Nice, clean and well kept facility. I have stayed here before but did have a couple issues this time. The pool was closed for renovation (knew this ahead of time so it doesn't affect my review) but it was disappointing to the kiddos. In the morning there seemed to be an issue with the hot water. The water set at full hot in the shower was just barely warm enough. Not sure if it was maybe because the hotel was fairly busy but I've never had that issue anywhere else I've stayed. Also the girl who was tending to the breakfast area is clearly in the wrong job. The whole time we were eating she was clearly in a bad mood, was rude to other guests who were needing forks (there were none in the utensil holder). Shen would unceremoniously dump food into the warmers rather then carefully placing them (omelets, sausages, etc.) lined up like absolutely every other HIE that I have stayed at. We also noticed that she, multiple times, passed by the Fruit Loops that some had spilled on the counter. After at least her 8th time passing she swept them into a pile with her hand...and then tossed them onto the little tray under the cereal dispensers rather than tossing them in the trash can that she passed seconds later on her way into the kitchen.In fairness all of this was unusual for this location and the previous time I stayed here the breakfast attendant was very friendly and professional with excellent presentation of the food.
