Reviewed By WorldVoyagerAs we were driving towards Andorra from Lyon, I found the quaint little town of Albi and was intrigued by how beautiful it looked along the river and dwarfed by the huge Cathedral that towers over it. As soon as I came across this hotel, I knew that I had found the perfect place for us to stay. Located in the heart of Albi and in a pedestrian only area, it was a little difficult to drive to and we became quite lost. Thankfully, I was able to contact our wonderful hostess, Maely who agreed to come out and drive with us in our car so she could show us where to park and then lead us back to her wonderful residence. I had picked the Sainte-Cecile Suite, which was a huge room with a King-sized bed, a fantastic clawfoot bathtub, shower and packed with all kinds of wonderful antiques and period piece appointments. It was such a nice quiet place to be and we freshened up and then went for a walk around town and ate at a local restaurant that Maely recommended. There is a small elevator in the hotel for your baggage but you will have to go up some steps in several places but not too many. Breakfast the next morning was really nice and we sat with Maely and chatted for at least an hour before we had to say goodbye and move along. I wish that we had stayed for at least another night because it was just so beautiful and peaceful. A fantastic stay with such an exceptional hostess! We hope to return one day soon! Very highly recommended!!!

Villa CAROLINE, Bed and Breakfast . Old renovated house in the medieval city of ALBI, Unesco World Heritage. The Villa Caroline is perfectly located, facing the Cathedral and the Episcopal city. 3 Large bedrooms with a/c and Wifi. A terrasse oriented south has a astonishing view that guests can enjoy for the breakfast. The Villa Caroline can accomodate 9 people.

Mario is an impeccable host - friendly, accommodating and very, very, efficient. The location is convenient- just across the bridge from the famous cathedral, but wonderfully quiet. The views from the terrace are something I will remember forever. Breakfast on the terrace with fresh fruit, home made yogurt and jams, and fresh baked croissants, while looking onto that remarkable cathedral was the best way to start the day. Thank you Mario - we have stayed in many places over the years and this was one to remember!

Notre maison née en 1920 que nous avons voulu chaleureuse et conviviale vous accueille dans l'une de ses quatre chambres pour une nuit, un weekend ou une semaine. Sur la rive droite du Tarn Le Rez de Jardin vous offre un écrin de verdure à cinq minutes à pieds du centre d'Albi, ville classée au patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO. Il vous suffira de traverser le Pont Neuf pour être dans le centre historique de la cité épiscopale d'Albi, la Cathédrale Sainte Cécile, le palais de la Berbie qui abrite le musée Toulouse Lautrec. Sur cette même berge l’Échappée Verte, le sentier de randonnée urbaine qui suit le tracé du GR36 sur 4 kilomètres et longe en partie les Berges du Tarn, devant le Palais de la Berbie, un secteur où l’on trouve également le point de départ des balades en gabarres pour des mini-croisières sur la rivière... Encore plus près du Rez de Jardin, en traversant le boulevard de Strasbourg, vous pourrez visiter le musée Lapérouse. "Adult Only" La maison n'étant pas organisée et sécurisée pour accueillir les plus jeunes, nous avons choisi pour garantir la tranquillité de tous de ne recevoir que des adultes.

Reviewed By Shanna HAlbi is an extraordinary UNESCO world heritage site. Le Rez is conveniently located so you can park your car and walk into the old town. With its quaint cafes, museums and the largest brick cathedral in the world it is great. The hosts at Le Rez helped us navigate all that there was to see. They were very kind!

Reviewed By Tim OA road closure on the approach made the Domaine hard to find but it was well worth it. The table d'hôte meal was excellent, as was the choice of wines. The home-made pâté de foie gras was first class (we bought more to take away with us) and the main course and dessert of similar standard, all prepares by the host. Breakfast was simple - no buffet style range of choices, more like a French home. Just one concern: our room and at least one other (of the three) had no window, just a glazed door. As it was a hot night we had to leave the door ajar. The road was a few metres away, no fence or hedge. Just a slight feeling of insecurity. All was OK, however. They have a swimming pool for those inclined for a dip. Very friendly reception and send-off on the morning of our 50th wedding anniversary.

Notre maison, située dans un quartier particulièrement calme d’Albi,est entourée d’un grand jardin fleuri et arboré avec des escaliers pratiques ou un chemin herbeux sans escalier qui la contourne. Grand parking privé gratuit. Bus très proche. Pour profiter pleinement des vacances,toutes les chambres sont climatisées. Les chambres couples et les chambres familiales ( ces dernières sont les seules à accepter un animal) sont à des niveaux différents. Elles disposent toutes d’une WIFI puissante et gratuite. Pour le repos de chacun, nos chambres n’ont pas de TV. La maison est entièrement non-fumeur. Dans notre maison, vous trouverez des meubles de famille. Ils ont une âme : celle des générations qui les ont aimés et entretenus pour franchir les siècles et continuer d’être parmi nous. Ils sont beaux sans être fragiles.

Reviewed By Anne HThis modern appart'hotel is a 5 to 1o minute walk from the centre of Albi. It was very quiet - quieter than many hotels. The studio was a good size - bigger than many hotel rooms and price wise better value than many 'budget' hotels. The equipment in the 'kitchen corner' was a bit limited. Due to covid restrictions breakfast was brought to the room. And also due to covid restrictions there was no cleaning service during our four day stay. Private secure parking is available at an extra cost but is worth it as the surrounding streets are very busy during the week. One negative thing is the shower. Shower head is too low and as there is no screen water goes everywhere. The young staff at reception were very friendly and helpful. Compared to other apart'hotels I have stayed in this one was very good. To be recommended.

Our luxurious modern home full of charm and character is waiting for you near the centre of Albi. “L’Autre Rives” is located just a 10 minutes walk from the center of Albi in a quiet and relaxing residential area. It has a large two acre garden for you to enjoy which contains a beautiful swimming pool and inside the house is a sauna and gym.

Reviewed By Ron CWe stayed at L'Autre Rives for five nights in early June 2022 and it was excellent in every way. The location is convenient -- quiet and still only 10 minutes to the center of Albi with all of it's historic, cultural and entertainment options. The building is well-maintained, super clean and very comfortable. The back garden and pool are a nice additional feature and very relaxing. Isabelle's breakfast is unmatched -- the quality is superb, as is the variety. I have celiac disease and can't eat foods with gluten. Isabelle prepared a delicious gluten-free pastry or cake option for me every day. The rest of the foods were delicious. I recommend L'Autre Rives at an excellent choice when you visit Albi. Don't miss it!!
