A bit of paradise in paradise.
Reviewed By kenbo2017Spent two lovey days and nights at his winery/hotel and loved it. Amazing views of the Douro Valley. Rooms were architecturally beautiful, and just a short walk to the large kitchen where you eat your meal at a farmhouse table, with a large burning fireplace warming up the room. Staff, food and ambience was perfect during our stay in the Douro Valley. Highly recommended!!

Reviewed By Figu0076 modern and comfortable rooms in the center of Tabuaço make you more than welcome when you enter the Hotel. The Hotel is very clean, the breakfast great and of course the warm reception of Thomas & Fatima and their stuff make a real difference! The winery’s are all around, walk or drive and than don’t forget to go to the Restaurant with the name of Tabuaço owed by Thomas & Fatima as well. Make a reservation Thomas & Fatima are known for their excellent food & wine & olive oil and normally always fully booked. A Casa dos Rui’s is their latest project and I am sure that it will be as successful as their restaurant. It is the perfect spot to explore this wonderful area and you can be sure that you get the best service and attention during your stay. We enjoyed every single moment and will be back soon.

Stunning views
Reviewed By Helen TSituated on a hillside just outside Tabuaco the hotel boasts stunning views. It is possible to walk.into the village (about 20minutes). It is well situated for exploring the area around the Douro. The hotel.is modern and rooms are a good size with the amenities you would expect. Staff are friendly and helpful, if a little overwhelmed when there were 2 large groups there. Food was plentiful and good, although not always that much choice. Having said that, my partner is a fussy eater and he found things to eat. Greater attention to detail would improve ratings e.g the safes did not work (despite bringing this up with the hotel.on multiple occasions), the Orange juice at breakfast was very weak, more like Orange squash than proper orange juice.

Good value, clean and comfortable
Reviewed By Howard MFriendly and helpful reception and restaurant staff. Large comfy bedroom with good sized ensuite. Nice to have a balcony to soak up the sun after a long drive. Free parking right outside was a bonus. Free breakfast with hot and cold choices. Elegant restaurant with good choice of food at reasonable prices. About 5 miles away from the Douro River at the top of a mountain but nice quiet location.

Quaint traditional old Portuguese house
Reviewed By MargaretGranadaLoved this 17th century mansion. It was very much like staying in an old family home. Lots of traditional furnishings and decorations. Very pleasant and welcoming owner who conversed enthusiastically with us in Spanish. Our room, albeit a little on the small side was comfortable and the bathroom was a good size with a bath and shower. The swimming pool was wonderful. Large and a perfect temperature. Good breakfast with excellent coffee, rolls, fruit etc. Would also recommend a nearby restaurant - Tabua Dáco. Tabuaco itself if a quaint village. Cost of a taxi from Pinhao is about €20 and takes about half an hour. Overall I thought this hotel was excellent value for money.
