We had two hours of fun in this well structured, safe but challenging adventure park. I think this is the perfect activity if you want to spend quality time with family or bond with friends before heading towards the grotto or restaurant. We definitely will return next year to attempt the black route. Be advised that children have to be at least 1.40cm.

We booked to have a day's begineers canyoning as a family of four, with two adventurous teenage boys, dad and a somewhat less adventurous mum. We were collected from our hotel at exactly the time stated and our guides Clement and Riki were great. All equipment was provided and we were transported to our place of adventure. We had a superb day and both our guides were extremely patient with those of us who were less adventurous than others!!. It was a marvellous way to spend a day and the scenery was beautiful. We would thoroughly recommend it to any one who has energetic teenagers to please and doesn't mind getting wet. And at the end we were refreshed with a lovely meal and the odd drink.

Das Para Centro ist ein profesionelles Fallschirmsprungzentrum im Tesin, direkt am Ufer des Lago Maggiore gelegen. Es ist mit eigenen Räumlichkeiten an der Zufahrt zum Flugplatz Cantonale gelegen, wo neben der Flugschule auch eine Station der Rega (Schweizer Retungsflugwacht) sowie des Schweizer Militärs beheimatet sind. Das Sprungzentrum bietet Tandemsprünge, Ausbildung für Fallschirmspringer und Piloten, sowie einen Fallschirm Shop mit Rigging. Gerade das Panorama mit den Bergen sowie die Lage am Lago Maggiore sind einzigartig. Der Flug auf 4000 m Höhe durch die Alpen über den Stausee (bekannt aus einem James Bond Film) sowie der anschließende Sprung aus dem Flugzeug sind einfach nur toll. Das Wetter ist ab Ende März bis in den November hinein recht mild (22 Grad). Geflogen wird mit zwei Pilatus Porter PC 6.

Organizzato dalla Scuola Nautica Sonia, abbiamo trascorso una bella serata su un bel yacht, ammirando da una prospettiva diversa il bel paesaggio del lago maggiore. Siamo arrivati a fine pomeriggio al porto di Ascona dove ci hanno accolti i simpatici capitan Stefan e Team del Ristorante Buca19 di Ascona, Patrick e Nina per il servizio catering. Come passeggeri eravamo in sette persone e abbiamo fatto conoscenza durante la serata, tutti molto simpatici. Siamo usciti dal porto già cocktail e vino bianco in mano accompagnati da buoni stuzzichini. Siamo passati di fronte ad Ascona e abbiamo fatto il giro delle isole di Brissago, abbiamo poi costeggiato le rive del lago fino alle isole di Cannero dove Capitan Stefan ha mollato le ancore per permettere a Patrick e Nina di preparare la cena. Dondolati dolcemente dal lago, ci hanno deliziati con spiedini di gamberetti e pollo grigliati sul momento in barca, e una fantasiosa sequenza di assaggi a base di pesce, carne e verdure. Come in ogni buon ristorante non è mancato un dessert, anzi due, tirami su e mousse di cocco, con caffè e digestivo. Al rientro il capitano, per favorire la digestione, ci ha fatto provare per un attimo l’ebbrezza della velocità, per poi goderci con tutta calma il paesaggio notturno illuminato dalle lucine dei paesini sulle coste fino ad Ascona. Rientro circa verso le 23:00. Abbiamo trascorso una bella e diversa serata, ci siamo sentiti viziati.

I have been diving with lots of different dive shops all around the world, but I must say that the shop of Max Carenzi in Gordola is top when it comes to friendliness of the team, uncomplicated professionality, safety and brand new equipment. Max doesn't speak much English but due to his winning personality, communication never became even an issue. Between pieces of English, German, my very broken Italian and lots of hand gestures, we communicated just well and had loads of fun. Even though I'm from Hong Kong, everything was arranged in time and we had an amazing dive in a semi-dry 7mm suit in the Verzasca. The river was just about 12C but it wasn't a problem at all. The equipment seems heavy and junky at first but once in the water, you're overwhelmed by the beauty of the Verzasca rocks and crystal clear water. If you plan to dive in the Verzasca, Maccia, Lago Maggiore or somewhere else near Gordola, I can only wholeheartedly suggest Delarus and Max's team. Very fair pricing too!
