This town in the very center of England is perhaps best known for its association with the legend of Robin Hood. The men in tights are long gone, though—today, you’ll find a modern city with a fantastic playhouse, ice hockey arena, and many, many shops and clubs.

The menus are designed with ingredients and at prices to encourage a visit to The Balti House week in week out.
We arrived cold and hungry after visiting the arty "Light Night" in Nottingham. We had a hearty welcome and enjoyed poppadums, starters, and mostly vegetarian curries - loved paneer in a curry. The food was excellent value. My 3 pals are regular diners there and I will certainly go there again.

The Lobster Pot Nottingham is the original Lobster Pot opened in 2001. It is a family run business combining Thai cooking with Seafood classics.
This restaurant was chosen for a pre-Christmas treat and did not disappoint. Intimate ambiance and friendly staff paired with great food. Worth the walk!

You know, without question, Restaurant Sat Bains is going to be delicious, divine, heavenly, a treat to your tastebuds etc. If you think you’ll get exemplary service, you’d be spot on. If you think all ‘celebrity’ chefs hang out in Marbella with their celeb friends, think again, Sat was there when we dined.
The only bit of advice i can give would be diners is opt for the 7 course tasting menu, we had 10 and, along with pairing wines, it was too darn much (probably in terms of wine as much as anything). Oh and if you have an allergy or a dislike (eg offal!) you can tell the restaurant and they’ll amend the menu to suit you.
We stayed in one of the 9 rooms and it was perfect...I was in staggering distance to our room! Breakfast was absolutely worth getting up for.
Thanks Mr Bains and all your wonderful wonderful staff...

The Cumin Indian Restaurant Authentic North Indian
I've eaten at Cumin a few times now, it has a menu thats constantly tasty and fresh.
I've often visited with work colleagues, last week I took a large group of friends, the moment we booked we knew we were in safe hands, our party had someone with allergies, the manager couldn't do enough to ensure they were OK. He spoke before the visit, went through the menu discussing what was suitable.
The food for us all was fresh, tasty and plentiful. I'll be back again soon, one of my favourite Indian restaurants in Nottingham.

Wow! Food was simply so good. Service excellent, real family feel. Top value, even the drinks are very reasonable prices. The pork in plum & blueberry sauce was fantastic, roulade beef also good. Apple cake was immense & baked cheesecake one of best I've ever had. Good wine at £13.95, beer 3.25, excellent vodka at 2.50 - great prices! We will be going here again very soon. Thanks for a great evening.

Was in Nottingham for work, so why not eat out (on the company ofcourse), decided to come here and we weren't disappointed. Delicious Greek Tapas, think we had the 16 course sharer......omg delicious! Will definitely come back here when i'm next in Nottingham. We hadn't booked and arrived around 6.30pm and were lucky enough to get a table, within 30min or so the place was packed! It was a Tuesday night!! Thank you Alina (I think?), what lovely food and great service.

I can’t thank Beccy and her wonderful team for making my 60th birthday celebrations just perfect ,with the most fabulous afternoon tea ever. The sandwiches were delicious and when the cakes came out there was a huge Wow! From everybody . Beccy arranged the table for 25 so everybody was facing each other and the attention to detail was impeccable, she even put flowers of the table for me. A huge big thank you to Beccy and her team. It was just perfect and with the added bottles of prosecco for drinks on arrival poured by Beccy and for the toast it was just the afternoon to celebrate with my dearest family and fabulous friends . See you again soon. Huge thanks Beccy. xxxx.

We have been to Basilia several times and its always consistently brilliant.
Great choice of food on the menu including a huge selection of sandwiches/panini's and main meals all at great prices.
If you've still got room for a cake afterwards then again plenty to choose from... lovely.
Not the biggest place however has a great atmosphere and there is also a shop to the front to buy some edible gifts... and more cakes to take home.
Take cash with you though as they don't have a card machine.
Well worth a visit, recommend the Brie, Bacon and Chilli Jam Panini...I'll certainly be returning,
