A Spotlessly Clean and Comfortable Hotel with Friendly and Helpful Staff
Reviewed By SteveWakefieldUKWe were so looking forward to our first beach holiday since 2019, and we were delighted to find that the hotel staff (and the local community) were just as keen to see the tourists return. The rooms are well equipped and comfortable, and the food was prepared with obvious pride. Our room (511) had been described as having a "partial sea view" but the only minor restriction in the view was hardly noticeable. We had excellent views out over the sea and to the islands of Brac and Hvar. The hotel is located midway between the villages of Brela and Basco Voda, both orf which can be accessed by a footpath running beside the beach. Both villages have a range of decent bars and eateries, and we were pleased that we opted just for a B&B arrangement at the hotel. This is a lovely hotel.

My family of 2 adults and 2 boys visited for 5 nights in June. From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by how helpful the staff were. We were given the rundown on the local sites and places to visit with help with all bookings where required, even given breakfast to go on the early morning starts. I would definitely recommend both Split as a town and villa Toni for somewhere to stay.

Free parking is provided and Bačvice Beach is 1 km away. UNESCO-protected Diocletian's Palace is within 1.5 km or a 15-minute walk along the coastline promenade. The spacious interiors are air conditioned and brightly decorated. Minibar and private bathroom with shower and hairdryer are standard facilities. Beds come with anti-allergenic linen, and room service is available as well.
Dishonest - kept money from booking, promising we could rebook after covid - then said voucher expired!

Reading the reviews, we maybe had a lucky escape from a not very luxurious hotel - but the dishonesty and bad faith is quite unbelievable.

Reviewed By TravelswithMrHThe Hotel Villa Apalon is a wonderful little B and B style hotel on the edge of Stari Grad old town. It’s in an excellent location to walk to Stari Grad old town centre (2 mins) and the many harbour front restaurants and bars. The hotel is small but it is in a beautiful old building tastefully decorated and the rooms are HUGE! Great air con, comfortable beds and a shower to die for! The breakfast is probably the only slight thing that we found a little lacking but to be honest it was adequate with fruit, yoghurt and pastries - there were some cooked options, scrambled egg and avocado etc but they just weren’t really our taste. Special mention must go to their amazing staff who were so helpful and friendly making sure we had enough in the room, giving us advice for dinner and even giving us a lift when we need help to get to the ferry. The staff were faultless and a credit to the hotel. Please don’t be taken in by bigger hotels outside of Stari Grad (we nearly were) this place is a gem and deserves its ranking as number 1 place to stay in Stari Grad

Family run apartments
Reviewed By JustRose_CHWe had a slight bit of difficulty as GPS routed us to a residential neighborhood just behind the apartments but that was sorted with a quick call. The apartments are located on a main road so be sure to check your gps. We were greeted upon arrival and shown our apartment. We had booked the basic apartment which was indeed very basic, but had everything necessary including a large bathroom, small kitchenette, a table and chairs as well as tea/coffee. Tony was very helpful throughout the stay and even offered us a lift down to the port one morning. The walk to the old town was roughly 20 minutes, downhill and just a bit longer back as it’s uphill. A taxi/uber is only a few euros if you decide not to walk. There was a Tommy supermarket a few steps away and a couple other shops nearby including LIDL. Restaurants were a bit further but easily reachable. On the last day Tony showed us the other larger apartments available which were really nice. I would recommend an upgraded apartment for a longer stay, but for a few days the basic room was perfect for us. There was a patio area with tables and chairs in the sun which would be nice to enjoy breakfast or an afternoon tea. There was also an outdoor shower which Tony had built himself, impressive! Was an enjoyable stay and would recommend if you are looking to stay near, but outside the old town.

Villa Palloma is a small family hotel set 100 metres from the centre of Baska Voda. The property features 2 outdoor swimming pools, one of which is heated, with loungers and parasols also available. The nearest beach is 100 metres away. All studios and apartments come with air conditioning, a furnished balcony and an equipped kitchenette. Free internet access and free on-site parking are provided. Buffet-style breakfast is served each morning, while lunch and dinner are offered along with a fine selection of Croatian wines. Reviewed By Topias PSuper helpfull staff, and they upgraded our rooms beacuse they had empty rooms. Clean and roomy, and the pool was nice touch. Breakfest was also great. Staff was also super helpfull with our car problems. The village seemed nice and it was a shame we did not have more time to explore.

Beautiful apartment
Reviewed By O8442BBlauralWe really enjoyed our stay at Villa Filaus. We had booked an apartment with one bedroom and living area which was perfect because we were travelling with our toddler. This was on the highest floor and there is no elevator but this was not a problem because we could leave our stroller at the reception. Rooms are modern and clean. There are a lot of nice restaurants and bars close and a supermarket right next to the villa. Breakfast is served in a restaurant just a few steps away (breakfast served to the table, no buffet breakfast). Bus 6 bus stop is only a three minute walk away and goes directly to Old town. Villa's manager was very nice and friendly!

Great stay in Dubrovnik
Reviewed By IlseK578The apartment is clean, spacious and situated at a perfect location. The bus stop is 2 min walk from the apartments and busses run frequently into town. There is a large rooftop sun terrace with a pool and the apartment had a large balcony with great views. Communication was good with the owner but a little tricky with the hosts on site as their English was limited. My only point of improvement is the information folder in the room which needs updating. Bus times mentioned are incorrect, and it mentions daily cleaning. This did not happen on any of the days. We did not need it, but as it is mentioned the folder could do with some updating.
