Nice rooms, common area has hostel feel

Hengifoss guesthouse offers accommodation in spacious rooms, with private bathroom and a kitchenette. Also sleeping bag accommodation in dorms with shared WC facilities. Breakfast and dinner (if ordered in advance). We also have a well equipped camping side with good facilities for caravans.
Great location
Reviewed By 120piotrlGreat location near Hengifoss waterfall. We had small kitchen in the room so we could prepare own breakfast. Beds were comfortable room was decent size and clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. The whole place is pretty crowded because of camping site. Worth coming back some day.

Reviewed By Celz22We loved this place. Our room and all the facilities were super clean. We even got a TV in our room. The staff was super welcoming, and the breakfast that we ordered was more than we hoped for. We were able to take some for the road. Definitely recommend.

Cozy guesthouse in Seyðisfjörður!
Reviewed By michaelpkimI had an impromptu stay in Seyðisfjörður after the first snow of the season had made Route 93 back to Egilsstaðir through the mountains impassable for the night with my vehicle. I stopped my Media Luna in search of available rooms for the night, and the staff was very kind and accommodating. He explained the usual plowing schedule for the town, and showed me around the guesthouse. Easy to get around with a common fridge | kitchen area, and all the rooms accessible through one central hallway. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice the rooms were, being very clean and spacious with a nice and modern private bathroom. Great color scheme with browns and forest greens as well. I'm very appreciative for the accommodation, which made an unexpected hiccup into a nice detour during my Ring Road trip! I will certainly be staying here again if I visit Iceland again and am looking for somewhere to stay in Seyðisfjörður. Takk!

Thea shared her knowledge of the local area and more distant places, of Iceland and also her own stories. We really felt like at home and as we were friends. Very nicely arranged common area and highly recommendable delicious 3-course dinner which we shared at one big table with other travellers from all over the world which ended up in a great evening full of stories etc. Nice outside hot tub open 24/7 as well as inside sauna.

Cottage on a farm
Reviewed By Sigríður SWe stayed at one of two cottages at the farm Lindarbrekka in Berufjörður. We are 2 adults with our 18 year old. The cottages have 1 bedroom and a sleeping sofa in the livingroom. Since you are staying at a farm you can check out the animals. Our daughter loved the dogs and the goats. The cottage was clean and the location is convenient for exploring nearby villages like Djúpivogur, Breiðdalsvík and Stöðvarfjörður. I recommend staying more then one night.

Great hotel on the edge of the lake!
Reviewed By emiliema2This hotel was in a perfect location and was a super charming place to stay. The design is modern, everything was super clean, and we were right on a cute little rainbow path alongside the lake. Hotel Aldan is right next store and offers a great restaurant. We had a room with a balcony overlooking the lake and loved it. Would highly recommend staying here!
