Reviewed By shannonmZ6750SII would give zero stars if I could! I booked this hotel for a mom/daughter overnight stay. Upon arrival, everything appeared great. Staff was kind. 2 hours into our stay, we observed a staff member smoking a cigarette outside of the corridor doors on the first floor. Our room filled with the smell of smoke. We were on the second floor. The hotel is all of three stories. First and second floor smelled of cigarette smoke. Our room was on the second floor. Staff is clearly immune to this and not holding up the hotel’s policy of being a “smoke free facility.” We chose to pack up and leave after about a two hour stay because what other option could they possibly provide us that would smell free of smoke? The gentleman at checkout was kind and offered apologies. I asked for a manager, there was not one on site. He did place a call to whom he stated was the assistant manager and i was informed that because I booked through my credit card’s travel agency, they could not approve the refund- that would need to be done by the Manager, ILIR. I was told to call during the week, as our visit was on a Saturday. The week comes and I call twice, leaving ILIR, two voicemails. He never returned my calls. I ended up contacting my credit card company to file a formal complaint- they finally connected with ILIR after two attempts. The outcome: ILIR informed me that the hotel is smoke free and there’s no way that anyone was smoking. So yes they call their customers who keep them in business a liar! He refused to give a full refund and offered a 30% refund, stating that I did not inform anyone of the issue before I checked out- which AGAIN was a lie- I did inform someone prior to checking out. The way in which this was managed is absolutely unacceptable. I am beyond insulted. I am big on respecting peoples privacy but in hindsight- I wish I had taken a photo and even videos of ILIR’s staff smoking on the premises. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

Because we were in a moving situation, we were towing a trailer. I had called one Marriott facility 4 times and they never answered. Then we called this place and Carlin Holness answered immediately. She assured me there was parking space so we booked it. When we arrived, she was there and greeted us poor tired souls with a cheerfulness that gave us so much peace and reassurance. Because we parked our truck and trailer around back, we asked for a room that would allow us to keep an eye on the trailer. Again, she cheerfully accommodated and upgraded us! The room was clean, and breakfast the next morning was also wonderful! Kudos to Carlin and this excellent facility! We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

VERY DISAPPOINTED
Reviewed By Sightseer734436My wife and I were attending a wedding in the area stayed at this hotel. When we arrived, there was only one person at the front desk so we had to wait in a long line to check in. Just as we got to the front of the line, another person (the front end supervisor) popped out of a backroom and started to help with the check in process. We were given keys to our room (which didn't work) went back down to the desk, waited in line again and were given replacement keys (which didn't work). When we returned to the front desk for the third time, we were given a different room. When we got into the room, we wanted to wash our hands and discovered that there was no soap. Again we went to the front desk and were told that they had no bar soap and that we would have to use the soap from the dispenser in the shower - not an easy thing to do when the shower floor is wet and there are mobility issues. We complained but were told that if we stayed at this hotel again, they would try to take better care of us, As a loyal Marriott customer, I am very disappointed in this hotel. A very bad job by the management.

I explained my situation to the woman at the front desk, and asked if I could just sit in the business center and use my computer. She insisted that there was a room ready (at 10:30 am!) and I was welcome to use it (and this was on Labor Day weekend!) They have a fabulous breakfast buffet, complete with do-it-yourself pancakes (not waffles), eggs, meat, sweet rolls, etc. Highly recommended.

The sheets and towels were clean and the young woman at the front desk was pleasant and accommodating, but there was not much else that I can say that was positive about my stay.

Con dirty tub and sink .curtains dirty multiple holes in door .rusted door ways .baseboard plastic nailed back to wall .holes in tv stand and the old hotel smell.
