Good for one night!

Reviewed By 200dayzofSummer

We stayed whilst transiting from Cuamba to Ilha de Mozambique. It suited all our needs but we paid for a twin room and got a dorm but as it was just in there it was fine, just felt overpriced. Breakfast was nice and there was one hot shower out of 3. Shower cubicles are strange because they all have toilets in them so is quite squished! Wifi was only from 5pm-6am and very slow. Beds were soooo uncomfortable with very thin mattresses. Overall friendly staff and convenient location but only for a stop-over.

Grand Plaza Hotel Nampula

The best hotel in Nampula

Enjoyed my stay at the hotel, and I would recommend it anyone. When you at restaurant on the hotels top floor you are able to see the beautiful view of the city and mountains surrounding nampula city. There is one thing though I didn't like much, the TV is enclosed in a very long grass which makes you feel as if there are cctv cameras watching you. sometimes the elevators jam, and also the Wi-Fi is very week in the rooms. Otherwise it is a very good hotel.

Old school in the best way

Reviewed By Pete A

I’ve stayed here a few times and I’m always happy. When I say it’s ‘old school’ I mean that it is solid with quality fittings and good design. Not all bling. Of course it’s also bit dated but I can live with that.

Worst Hotel Ever

Reviewed By mahwishn2016

DON'T STAY HERE! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! I wish I could give less than 1 star. First of all, the hotel is located in a terrible neighborhood. You can't walk around after dark, because of the shady folks hanging around. If that doesn't deter you, then the actual hotel will!! You walk in and the first thing you see (and smell) is the dirtiest tank (not sure if fish ever lived in there) you ever did see. You then go to your room (I was assigned 102 and my friend was in 105) to be greeted with the hottest room ever. Even if you turn on the air conditioner to the lowest temperature and highest fan speed, it still spits out warm air. The bathrooms are so disgusting that I decided not to shower there, because I didn't want to be dirtier than when I first got in. The paint on the floor was peeling, there was mold, the sink faucet was broken as was the outlet by the sink and when you flushed the toilet, the shower floor leaked. I picked up the remote to turn on the tv and it came up in two pieces, as well. The straw that broke the camel's back was when I pulled back the covers to reveal the most disgusting, stained sheets ever! I asked the front desk to change them and he said he didn't have any others. Oh and you can't use the phone at the bedside because it's fake, so if you need ANYTHING from the front desk, you have to keep walking out there to talk to them. The wifi only worked for about 10 minutes, as well. All in all.... terrible experience. I want to warn EVERYONE not to stay here!!! TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE!!!
