Reviewed By maggs wWhat a find, this was our fourth and last night of our 'sisters' trip' and no doubt the best hotel we stayed in, and the cheapest! Would have no hesitation in recommending it. Breakfast was excellent as well.

Excellent value dinner next to the river in Libourne
Reviewed By SusandbdbPopped in (without booking) to enjoy a very reasonable supper at La Tour du Vieux Port located on the river with seating inside or on the back terrace. The dinner menu is 18 euros for three courses. We had the seasonal salad with tuna and the foie gras maison to start with, followed by the Pork tenderloin and fish as the main course. For dessert we chose the Tarte Tatin - delicious - coming with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and cream. Very tasty, good sized portions and excellent value. Parking is tricky worth trying along the riverside - we were lucky as a car was leaving - otherwise parking in town with a walk.

Inadequate Heating In Villa
Reviewed By scgcarolineThe villa we stayed in was spacious with kitchen, living (overlooking a small vineyard) and dining area on one floor and 3 bedrooms (which can sleep 8 persons comfortably) on the second floor. We could also park our rented car right in-front of our doorstep. There was a bathroom on the ground floor for those who might have mobility challenges as another bathroom on the second floor could only be reached via a narrow staircase. The bedrooms were quite well furnished while the sofa in the living room was peeling off and looked dated. Although it was cold, especially during the night, we were told that we could not turn on AC/inverters in the dining area and the bedrooms as there were all not working. There were only 2 small portable heater - one in the dining area and another one along the corridor of the bedroom that we could use. As a result, one of us cane down with flu. The bathroom on the second floor had a musty smell so we had to open the bathroom door to ventilate the place. To sum up, it would be an ideal base for visiting nearby vineyards like Chateau Gazin, Chateau Troplong Mondottes, Chateau L’Evangile, if not for the cold weather we had to battle amidst inadequate heating in the villa.

Reviewed By rjnspieringsWe were passing by and were looking for a comfortable and not too expensive hotel. That’s what we got. The building is beautiful. Rooms are small but bed is good. Car parking on premises and gate closed at night. Nice restaurants at walking distance.

Au lieu d’une chambre avec baie sur le jardin on a ….. une chambre perchée en haut d’un escalier étroit et raide sans fenêtre…. au lieu d’un parking privatif… on doit laisser notre véhicule dans une ruelle étroite….. tromperie totale sur le produit On a eu qqu’un au téléphone pour nous guider jamais personne en face de nous !!!!

Appel au propriétaire, pas de réponse...message... Après 20 min d'attente sans que rien ne se passe, je quitte mes lieux afin de chercher un autre hôtel... J'attends toujours que le propriétaire me contacte... En déplacement professionnel, j'ai autre chose à faire que de chercher un nouvel hôtel après une journée de boulot ! Passez votre chemin, ce n'est pas un professionnel de l'hôtellerie.
