Reviewed By Dick NVery convenient to coast and local restaurants. The hosts were helpful to non-French speakers. We arrived late afternoon and rested before going to Le Nautique for dinner. The location is away from some of the heavy coast traffic in La Ciotat.

Reviewed By NomadicBillI was given a room at check in. There was a humming noise in the room. Staff member told me she would report it technician the next day. I said that wouldn’t help me because I would not be able to sleep with noise. Was moved to a room in the exact position on the second floor. Noise was worse here. I didn’t sleep. Paid just under €73 for a sleepless night. Air conditioner/ heating didn’t work in either room

Despite the restrictions owing to Covid, all precautions are in place, particularly for breakfast. Another great short stay. Staff at breakfast were most welcoming.

Nice and Comfortable Hotel
Reviewed By Kate LI stayed at the Moxy La Ciotat at the end of May. The hotel is very new and was full when I checked in (on a Saturday). I checked in around 12:30 and my room was ready, I was upgraded to a corner room. It was larger and had 2 balconies which was very nice. The room itself is extremely comfortable. There was no closet or iron/ironing board though. The TV is a smart TV so you can use the chromecast feature and stream from any of your devices. This was nice on the Sunday, however on Saturday, the internet in my room was not working (probably because there were so many people there). The hotel was a little difficult to find the entrance too and I originally parked in the wrong parking garage. The lady at check in was able to tell me how to get to the one for the hotel and I moved my car a couple hours later, no issues. Breakfast was a decent continental breakfast with hot and cold options and a wonderful coffee machine. The bar was also nice to be able to get drinks in the evening and sit on the patio and enjoy the weather. They also have food that you can order - meat and cheese trays, pizzas, etc. That was nice when I wanted to turn in early due to jet lag and didn't want to think about finding food. The rooftop pool was also a nice place to read and relax for a little bit. It was too crowded and noisy on the Saturday of my stay, but it was empty and enjoyable on Sunday. The hotel itself is about a 25-30 minute walk from the port area. It's not a bad walk, but know that you will need to either drive or walk a ways to get there. I walked as I didn't want to have to worry about finding parking. Overall, a very nice hotel. The biggest drawback would be location to the port.

Reviewed By PatOC1967Despite the Interior Designer's colour palette offering a plethora of colours, brown and beige won the day with a myriad of dark corners and stairways adding to the 70's decor. Hotel la Rotonde is a throwback to yesteryear, aircon although not overly important in late September, would be required in the warmer months. Navigation in the bathroom is not so difficult given all available amenities are within arms length. Breakfast wafts through to the upper floors and entices you out of your slumber. Located just off the revamped front, la Rotunde may not be everybody's bed for the night, but it is worth finding this place out.

Way better than expected
Reviewed By mrdlpbWe had a lovely stay here. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating. Breakfast was good. The room decor was tired but eminently practical for a young family. There is also a nice salon to sit in too. If you ask the owner you can park directly outside for free if there is a space.

Disgusting place
Reviewed By SerafimelWe stayed in this apartment just for 1 night, but were totally dissaponted by this place! The location is not bad, but it’s quite noisy during the night and the property stands on the car way. The property is not well-cleaned and you don’t expect this for 200 euro. Hair here and there, mixer taps are not glued. The living room is too small and looks like a corridor, so the kid had to sleep on the small sofa-not comfortable and not done before our arrival The most awful part is the outdoor kitchen with dirty floors, refrigerator and breakfast that you have to prepare yourself with open jam jars and then clean yourself using old and dirty rags that nobody ever cleaned. The swimming zone looks fine, but there was a robot working all day so you can’t really properly the swimming pool Afterward in 20 days we got a bill for 120 euro , as it turned out later-it was for the cleaning, we tried to contact the host, but he refused to talk to us. ( the cleaning was made before check out and nothing was said or charged on us at check out Be aware of this place and person with illegal behavior.

The place rides its reputation on the grandfather's eccentricity - nothing left except the exceptionally beautiful location which one can find plenty of in the area. The rooms are damp, smelly and noisy without any care for maintenance or basic equipment. The restaurant is expensive for what you get and the wine list is somewhat basic (except the prices) The service has the taste of a corporate event...
