A last minute decision to dine out led us to this tiny restaurant close to our villa. A quick check on trip advisor and listed as number 2. Things were sounding good! Service was great and the set up was cosy, unfortunately the meal I had was incredibly bland. As a restaurant offering a small menu you expect all meals to be of high quality and flavour - sadly this was not the case. The other meals appeared well presented and had flavour. Perhaps ordering the vegetarian was a mistake..

This place is amazing. I'm not a big sorbet fan because it often tastes so differently from the original fruit. Not in l'ecume des glaces. They were able to capture the delicate taste of fruits like fig, blueberry, rhubarb, litchi. I tried many other sorbets during my trip in Provence but BY FAR this was the best. Staff was also extremely friendly and gave us great advices. Last but not least, it is located i a cute little square with no road traffic. Do not miss it!

Chinese, Thai, Greek, Turkish, Southern Italian immigrants have often opened little restaurants in their adopted countries. With their hard work and passion, we are all the better for it. From the tempting window display of Italy's finest food products to the truly warm welcome inside, this Southern Italian family are great Ambassadors for their homeland. The menu is short, but everything is well prepared. There is a small, but quality selection of Italian wines. Trattorias aren't meant to be fancy. Serving the town-and not just tourists, their Italian dishes remind you of that country's culinary prowess. Their versions are very good, but not excellent. Perhaps the local produce and products aren't quite up to what you find in the old country. We have spent too much time in Italy (both North and South) to be fully satisfied.
It's a cozy and nicely decorated little place on a tiny "vico" around the corner from the harbor. More representative (to us) of what we find in the North End of Boston or the South End of Springfield than the "old country", we still appreciate their efforts. The cooking is casalinga, perhaps in a pre-1970s time warp. It provides fair value and is a nice alternative to the local French repertoire.

Everything about this restaurant exceeded our expectations. The clean, country setting, the service, wine and very reasonable gourmet prix fixe menu for lunch. Parking was kind of a wild experience and we had to hike up the road a bit, but overall we were beyond pleased with our time at Rochebelle!

We enjoyed the food & the restaurant as someone said below the place looks more authentic than the touristy looking "We are English spoken" restaurants.
We was a bit bemused by the bill.....
The restaurant is a cave that sells wine, they charge you 6 euros to drink a bottle of the local Provence rose in the Restaurant, maybe it is like a corkage charge they use to do in the 80s in the UK, the local Provence wine which is about 16 euros there is no wine list, (most places we went to in Provence charge around 10 euros for a large litre pichet).So this hidden gem came as a shock, I personally nether heard of this before.
Shame as this would put us off visiting Vin 7 again...like a lot of Restaurant's in la Ciotat they are trying to squeeze those extra euros out of you............

We loved our day in Le Ciotat and looked at the restaurants as recommended by fellow Trip Advisor Reviewers. This was restaurant busy with the local business community. We had the 28 euro menu, moules farcies and steak with pepper sauce followed by fromage blanc and red berries and were not disappointed. We returned next day and found that L'Ousteau was closed much to our disappointment ,. It did not say anywhere it was closed on Wednesday however we walked along and went to Le Golfe which was also excellent.

Well worth a visit! Service is fabulous, the chef is genuinly interested in making sure you are enjoying your food, which is delicious. Prices are super reasonable. Ceviche highly recommended and the margarita style lemon tart is the bomb!

We had a wonderful experience at this small restaurant, perfect for oyster lovers that like to spend time and money in quality food, style and exclusive environment.
We had the chance to enjoy oysters at this place twice: the first evening we had no reservation but the charming, professional and extremely helpful owner served us a plate of coquillage at near restaurant, still owned by him.
Seems banal, but not every host has the talent to do his/her best to please guests!
