Reviewed By StoneleySpent one night here and could have stayed more if we had more time. The staff are extremely helpful, polite and friendly. The atmosphere of the hotel is special and it felt a privilege staying there. The rooms are comfortable and have nice duvets and pillows (we are fussy ?). We ate dinner in the restaurant which was delicious. Highly highly recommend.

Pleasant stay in Honfleur
Reviewed By Agisilaos SWe stayed just a night. The room was spacious and very clean. The checkin / checkout was very fast and the staff was friendly. It is located around 10 minutes by car from the center and closure to the town exit. The area though has nothing to offer. Breakfast could have been better, but overall is recommended for a short stay.

Deceiving experience
Reviewed By Alis77_11I will start with the positive: the staff is super friendly and accommodating, the grounds are nice, and our room was very spacious and bright. I am afraid this is it. The rest was disappointing: the duvet/quilt was filthy and old and similar for the carpet and curtains. The restaurant menu is not worth at all (the best were the wine, oisters and cheese...) and finally, they publicize they have a spa and are next to the beach, but the spa is just a swimming pool and a sauna/hammam, and the beach is of difficult access and you will need a car. Not worth value for money.

After a week of staying in very fancy hotels as part of a bike trip, it was a delight to relax and kick back at Maison de Lucie. French (as opposed to international) hospitality to the nth degree: truly gracious and very aware of our preferences. The dining recommendations were absolutely spot on! The rooms were lovely; not quite in the "luxury" range, but much more distinctively French, with great views, comfortable beds and great bathroom facilities. Breakfast was equally pleasant: our choice of charming courtyard or one of the many available public rooms, generous proportions, and each included a surprise little treat. I cannot say enough good things about this address. The host was incredibly friendly and helpful, as was the rest of the staff. We are looking forward to our next visit.

Reviewed By Capdan13We stayed here one night a year ago and loved it so much decided to book in for two nights this year so we could do more exploring of the area. The hotel is set just outside Honfleur, you do need a car. Parking is secure. Last year we had a family room which consisted of two rooms freshly painted and clean and tidy. This year we were allocated the old style, double bed down and two singles upstairs with bathroom under the stairs. The room was cramped, but clean and smokefree. We had a problem with either the toilet leaking or the shower leaking which meant water continually ran from beside the toilet and then made the floor very wet. We spoke to the manager who was a different person to last year and really was not interested. He spoke no english, we made many attempts to speak French, we also used Google translate to help. He always raised his eyes and pretended he didn't understand, from giving our room number at breakfast to the problem with the toilet. He just laughed when we asked to change rooms and yes I know this is a two star but we have stayed in many of this hotels chain and really felt unwelcome. Interestingly on the second day I was not feeling well and went back to the hotel early to lay down. A man knocked on the door and although he spoke french it was along the lines of he had come to fix the toilet. Because I was there he left and did not stay. After his visit and once my husband was back my husband went down to Reception to ask about the toilet. I do think the manager knew there was a problem but was not prepared to sort this out. Breakfast was an awful experience on day one. It was too crowded, not enough food to go round, hardly any jam and so on. Plastic cups for juice were everywhere. The floor was so sticky that everyone stuck to it and we just assumed juice had been spilt. The manager just walked around scowling. Day two was less hectic but the floor was the same, in the end someone did come and wash it. There were fresh croissants ready this time and new jam, but the damage was done. Yes great for one night but we definitely will not return.

Reviewed By BillieWinchesterWe stayed here with my elderly mother.The gardens are so peaceful and tranquil with the sound of running water as well as clear streams and pools with beautiful trees and shrubs and roses. The bedrooms are housed in various buildings.My mother was in a gorgeous ground floor double room with the window edged by roses. Our bedroom was above up quite steep stairs with 3 different aspects so lots of light.The shower was powerful with hermes products. The food was spectacular - a menu découverte or a la carte- lots of fresh seasonal produce. Breakfast too was a delight.There is a half board option. We walked from the hotel and about 10 mins away came to a beautiful deciduous wood with rhodedendrons and established paths and parking. Honfleur is less than 10 mins drive away so worth visiting but lovely to return to our oasis

Reviewed By Kenneth432We had a group of 8 couples, so we had the entire facility. Amazing grounds with really nicely maintained facilities. All of the rooms were great. We had the 2 bedroom apartment which is large, comfortable and well appointed. The breakfast was great, but what else would you expect in France. The staff was always helpful and friendly. Sucre, the manager, made arrangements for first class cooking classes, tours and transfers, whatever we needed. Nice fitness centre with spa facilities... great massages available. Beautiful indoor pool. Approximately 2 km walk to Honfluer where there are many restaurants and lots of shopping. If you want a first class peaceful, relaxing holiday, this is the place
