a perfect clamping to take a moment to relax

Reviewed By Wills111

Spur of the moment booking when we decided to not to travel straight from Uluru to Alice Springs. Glamping on the escarpment was spectacular. The accomodation, food and staff meet and exceeded our expectations. If you want to just relax, get off you phone and sit back enjoying this beautiful land without the crowds this is the place. Food provided was exceptional as was the range of wines and other drinks. on arrival a Full Cheese board is ready to nibble on, the food for the evening meals were high quality. just leave a message when booking if you require a special diet, cooking was easy and facilities top notch. Breakfast supplies could have feed us all day, but all fresh food was provided for the second day. Staff are friendly and always willing to assist. When you read the reviews you need to seperate the different camp sites as they all end up bunched together. The Escarpment Glamping is the one i am reviewing and is 5 stars, i did not use the other facilities so can't comment.

Nice park, comfortable but dated cabin

Reviewed By ejm84

Really nice and quiet park. Great location, loved walking straight out the back of the property to the gorgeous hot springs (only a 5-10 minute walk) and a little way out of the town centre so no parking or noise issues. Friendly service at reception both for check-in and check-out (Dee is lovely). We had a standard ensuite cabin which was comfortable but dated, definitely needs a bit of maintenance (wooden door frames rotting, holes in walls, dirty curtains to name a couple of things). The double bed was surprisingly comfortable and the cabin was spacious enough for the two of us. It was lovely and cool when we arrived as someone had had the foresight to put the air conditioning on for us which was greatly appreciated. Handy kitchen and cooking facilities in the cabin including a full fridge. Cabins seem to be well soundproofed as we were situated right near the communal BBQ area but didn't hear anything even though there were several people about and the people in the cabin next to us were outside drinking until fairly late. The price was reasonable, I guess, for this time of year (top end dry season even though it was still stinking hot) but wouldn't be thrilled about paying that price again outside of peak season. We were happy with the service and accommodation and would stay again.

Beautiful but some improvements

Reviewed By Alyssa S

We stayed in one of the chalets, it was just what we needed and suited our needs perfectly, a beautiful setting in amongst the bush. It was clean, tidy and had all the utensils we could need. Highly recommend the lookout walk for sunset or sunrise, only short but gives you an amazing view over the George! However the general communication from the company upon booking and in the lead up to the stay needs to be improved. We were informed upon arrival that some services like their evening restaurant was not open during our stay (we could not eat at Cicada lodge because we weren’t staying there) - even though the website said it was. This meant we had to get back into the car and drive back to Katherine to get supplies for dinner (after a 5 hour drive already). This could have been improved by providing upon the point of booking an advisement that we will need to source food from the town - we could have then done that on the way rather than return to Kathrine again. Also when I called a few days earlier to ask some questions the phone was disconnected and my emails were not responded to until 2 days later (just hours before we checked in). It was clear they have been impacted by covid and staff issues but just communicating that ahead of time would have been ok, setting the expectations right before arrival so that we could be prepared. Thank you.

Great pub and burgers

The pizza and burger sign caught our eye so we called in for a bite. We found a very happy outback pub vibe with a solo musician playing followed by the barman (possibly boss) airing his vocal skills. Our "Big Bad Banyan Burgers" and accompanying chips were delicious and service excellent.

Hidden gem

Usually we drive past this little place, but decided to give it a go. We were upgraded into one of the newly renovated rooms, which is very modern and comfortable. There is a communal cooking area, fridge, stainless steel bench tops, microwave so that cooking smells will not get through these spaces. Extra toilets and a large laundry area have been provided and a newly landscaped garden area for guests to enjoying. Just loved the planning that has gone into keeping these areas unique. Definitely worth checking into! For meals & refreshments, the Tavern is located within a few steps and even though on a main road, we were not disturbed by any noise. The owner (sorry I can not remember her name) was so helpful and passionate about this park and I believe will continue to make improvements to cater for and enrich guests! Appreciated experience, thank you.

Fantastic place to stay for exploring Litchfield Park

Reviewed By Kim M

We were so impressed by this well maintained tourist park with a lovely tropical feel. The owners/staff were so friendly and professional and really took pride in the property. The two bedroom cabin well designed (we loved the outdoor shower and the large deck), immaculately clean and well equipped. The pool was refreshing and a great place to meet fellow travellers. Highly recommended!
