The hotel is perfectly situated in the old town and right in the centre, there was a municipal car park 2 minutes walk away, which was free at this time of year. The room was outstanding, very clean, such a tranquil chilled out place. Breakfast was superb, there’s a lovely rooftop terrace where the manager, a super lovely guy called Seraphin (excuse if not correctly spelt) he could not do enough for us, housekeeping and breakfast staff all super friendly and polite. Definitely recommend and will definitely return soon!

Reviewed By Alison RI stayed in El Levante with a group of birdwatching friends. It suited our needs brilliantly. We had been concerned that it may be noisy as it was on the N340 road, however many of the rooms faced a really lovely lawned garden at the back and it was very quiet at night. The rooms were simply furnished and spotlessly clean. They had a fridge and tea making facilities [which in my experience is unusual in Spain]. The staff were helpful and friendly - and the gentleman who looked after the garden, charming - and always keen to ensure we had everything we needed. Most rooms had a terrace with chairs and a table and it was very relaxing to sit and enjoy the views to the rear of the property.

We were there for 2 nights and the gentleman at the front desk just couldn't do enough for us: first, he went several blocks with us to secure a safe place to park our car. Then, he walked me to a manicurist several blocks away. The hotel is simple, but has an up-market feel with newly redecorated rooms. Breakfast is SUPERB with high quality ingredients including freshly squeezed juice, terrific selection of exotic fresh fruits, gorgeous pastries that are picked up by the same man every day at a local bakery. All considered, this place is a steal. BTW: Google maps sent us to the street Convento rather than the hotel, in spite of putting in the hotel several times. The hotel is located on the town's main street, exactly one block from the historical gate to the old town (the main street actually dead-ends into the gate. Find the gate and the hotel will be right there on the street that ends at the gate).

Reviewed By Patty_T_SI´ve stayed for three days. The hostel is well located, near form the Old City. The hostel doesn´t have elevator, so I had to carry my heavy suitcase to the stairs. The room was clean, It has a small white wardrobe , and flat TV screen, It has air conditioner. It doesn´t have safety deposit box, The bathroom was clean, but a lightly darker. The staff is super friendly, helpful and kind, she gave me a lot of information about Tarifa, also she helped me with some problem I had about the airline (it was on strike).

Reviewed By yns_10We had a wonderful stay here in mid September. The Hospederia has a modern funky interior and Luisa provides excellent recommendations to allow you to make the most of your stay. Our room faced the street and apparently on Friday and Saturday nights the passersby can be quite noisy (despite insulation and double glazing) - our first night was a Sunday and there were no noise issues! If noise bothers you ask for a room that doesn't face that street. Our room was very spacious, with quirky modern styling and a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was served downstairs, mainly buffet style with a nice selection. You entered the Hospederia by entering a code and the key then gives access to your room. Be aware that there is no reception and staff in the lobby area: you let Luisa know when you are planning to arrive and she will be there to greet you. Highly recommend both the Hospederia and Tarifa.

No wifi offered, except in the lobby which is inconvenient and frankly quite shocking for hotels these days. Staff was friendly and helpful, and the room was very clean.

However, there is not always someone on reception, you have to phone them if you need any help?! My room was modern and adequate.. a tad on the small side. You step into the room and the bed takes up all of the space. I had to have curtains drawn all the time as there is internal windows opposite bed instead of a wall which leaves you feeling very exposed. Beautiful place, when booking check you don't have room facing internal centre feature. My friends, two adults and two children stayed in apartment Gravina around the corner. Apparently it was damp, cold and did not look modern like on the picture. Definitely was not the apartment booked in booking.com.. very dated. And to get to apartment you have to walk past a big dog sitting in the middle of the path.. uncomfortable.

A magical hotel in the center of Tarifa
Reviewed By zabe786We booked this hotel sight unseen the night we arrived in Tarifa. What a magical experience! Located in the very center of Tarif, over-looking one of the main streets, the architecture of the room is out of a Moorish castle. The room came with a sofa bed, queen bed on the 2nd floor loft, and a kitchenette. Everything in the room was sparkling clean and the stay was wonderful. The rooms had (old, but workable) closable shutters, and windows, and thick curtains, so it was nice and dark at night and quiet despite the people right outside our window downstairs eating and talking away. The street outside has some nice restaurants and a small bakery that's open early and closes late. If I were to come back to Tarifa with my family, I'd stay here without any hesitation.
