The châteaux, towns, and villages of the Loire Valley are within easy reach of Blois—but there’s more to this hillside city than its Loire River location. Its royal château, the one-time favorited stronghold of kings, is the star attraction, and there’s enough gardens, churches, and medieval old town lanes to fill any itinerary.

Book at Tati Ginette for a truly memorable experience. If you are looking for an ordinary French country auberge, decorated in subtle yellows and blues, look elsewhere. If you are young and hip, this may be just the place you want. We can't help wondering what the locals in this tiny rural suburb of Blois think about the trendy guesthouse that opened in June--apparently the only lodging in town. Julien, the young man who came to the gate in jeans rolled up at the ankles and shiny loafers, did seem surprised to encounter the two un-cool Americans of retirement age who had rung the bell. Julien has clearly put his personal style into every corner of this guesthouse. His distinctive touches are everywhere. Inside the courtyard, you can't miss the Venus de Milo painted bright red. Our bedroom was an homage to pastries. Decorated in pink, green, and gold, it was ornamented with plates of what looked like real French pastries. The wallpaper border was dessert recipes pulled from magazines. The lounge is so artfully arranged to look comfortable that we declined to enter in the evening, thinking it must be his living quarters! As to the essentials, Tati Ginette is a very nice bed and breakfast. The room was comfortable, the bath was large and impeccably clean, the bed was good, and breakfast was great: Fresh crepes and cake-like breads that tasted like Julien had just taken them out of the oven. We wish him success.

My wife and I stayed at the chateau for a few nights in July 2021. The accommodations were incredible and our host, Richard, went above and beyond for us. From wonderful dinner reservations to freshly prepared breakfasts, including eggs from their chickens! We enjoyed exploring the grounds and swimming in the pool. The resident dogs were also very entertaining! Highly recommended for anyone exploring the beautiful Loire valley and all it has to offer.

Staying here is a once in a lifetime experience in a unique property. We were given an historical tour on arrival then left to enjoy the history. Yes it is still in the process of renevation but wow what a place to stay! Our children aged 10 & 12 loved sleeping in a jail cell with sliding metal grills. The highlight though is definitely the roof overlooking beautiful Blois. We ate both meals up there and watched the sunset. It is lovely to see that the renovation is being done to keep everything as it was from the 13th Century. This was the most exciting place we have ever stayed and we had so much fun there.

Le Relais de la Tour, a charming Guest house in a rural and warm atmosphere in the right heart of the Castles of the Loire Valley, welcomes you in the old farm.Built around its watchtower of the sixteenth century, the farm has gradually become Relais de la Tour, authentic haven of peace hidden in a green setting at only few kilometers along the Loire in a wonderful and relaxing environment where every comfort will be dedicated to you.
We had a great time. The hotel owner Annie is sweet charming and will help you with anything, from touristic advise to bringing your dinner up to your room if you came in late. The room was clean and had a homie decoration, big room with a kitchen. We had too dinners at the restaurant and loved it, breakfast was great too. This is more than a bed and breakfast, this was really a home during our travels. Note if you have a car the location is great when traveling the Loir Valley. It is not in the center of Blois though.

Located near to the castle and the city center of Blois, Le Bourg Neuf is a new serviced appartment. All apartments feature a flat-screen TV, a private bathroom with shower and a fully equipped kitchenette with various cooking facilities, including a microwave, a toaster, a fridge and a stovetop. Guests have free access to the fitness room. Guests can also relax in the shared lounge area. A continental breakfast is available daily at the residence.
This is a very well located property with the town centre pretty close by, although keep in mind it is at the top of a hill. Getting to the town centre is easy enough but the walk back is uphill. We had a one bedroom apartment in this complex which was very well fitted out and comfortable. I suspect that this apartment is part of a retirement community as everything is easily accessible for wheelchairs or those who may require some mobility assistance. It was a very nice apartment with a large balcony overlooking the internal courtyard so nice and quiet. Breakfast was provided in the dining area which was simple but adequate. There is paid parking around the property which was free on the Sunday we were staying (and typically free in the evenings until 9am the next day). This was a good find and we had a very nice stay.

Hosts' rooms(chambers) situated in city center of Blois. Quiet and warm district. Closeness of the Royal castle
This hotel was a lovely surprise. So well situated in town for shops and restaurants. The hosts were so lovely; friendly and helpful and the place itself was full of character with nice little touches. Breakfast at €10 was very good value with homemade pastries and jams included. Comfortable room. Great for a night or two.

What a lovely guest house right on the Loire River in Blois! The owners, Dominique and Georges, are superb hosts, charming and knowledgeable about the area, and very willing to give advice to you about restaurants and sites to visit. Dominique saved us long treks up to the chateaus we were visiting by advising us of the parking lots to choose. The breakfasts were also wonderful and are served on the terrace or in the dining room, depending on weather. We loved it! If you can, book ahead for a gourmet dining experience at Assa which is a short drive from La Perluette.
