Reviewed By sadhbhoconnorThe hostel was perfect for a few nights in Ngwe Saung. 10 minutes walk to beach. Rooms were clean but bed linen and towels were old and had stains. The food in the restaurant was okay and it is nice to sit there but the length of time it took for cocktails and one of our groups meal to come was nearly an hour! Staff were helpfulat times, at other times it felt like they thought they were doing us a favor by cooking dinner and cocktails for us, even though we were paying. Overall you get what you pay for and I would recommend dreamhouse for those on a budget.

Reviewed By kellygreenwichWe spent are last few nights of Myanmar here.we stayed in bungalows which were basic but adequate for our needs and we’re clean and beds comfortable it was great to watch everything going on from our porch outside our bungalow,I’ve noticed people leaving bad reviews because they weren’t happy in rooms with shared bathroom and didn’t like the futon beds which is stated when booking! A option I wouldn’t choose but if did wouldn’t complain the guest house has a restaurant and bar doing fantastic cocktails.Andy the manager has a really lay backed approach to everything which I got from the start if you require anything for your stay he will tell u too speak to the girls his laid back approach may be a reason people have found him unhelpful but it’s way if u need anything he’ll tell u to speak to the girls I got this but maybe not everyone will.The girls are fantastic and made my stay very special I’m really annoyed at reading reviews saying they couldn’t understand what people wanted and needed to smile more I have one thing to say to this the person writing review must have terrible people skills shame on you for being ignorant as the girls are spectacular and a pleasure to have around and I add entertainment they are completely natural and I Won’t have a bad word said about them.If you want complete peacefulness this isn’t the place for you but if you want a real feel for how the Myanmar people spend their holidays then stay as this is what I loved about it .

Reviewed By forsaken0606One of the best hotels in Chaung Thar. The interior is made of contemporary teak furniture. There is no discrimination (different) price between foreigners and locals. Everybody pays the same cost. Breakfast is abundant. Lovely. The minor downside is that they don't put the drink menu inside the rooms. If you want to order, you have to go to the restaurant bar / counter. Other than that, nothing else to complain. Would always choose Akariz Hotel over others whenever I go to Chaung Thar.

Reviewed By jeclbeeI tried both this hotel and the more luxury nearby Shekinah. Different in price and luxury,but both well worth the money. The Htike has a very cozy atmosphere and you feel part of 'the family' (the very friendly and helpful staff) from the first till the last moment. Everything was kept clean at all times, staff very willing to help with bustickets and more, and I loved the breakfast on the rooftop: there I felt a slice of paradise...

Reviewed By jtizabiThe place itself is very nice and quaint. The staff is super friendly. They didn't speak english but had someone on call to translate whenever necessary. They also rent scooters although the scooters were pretty old and one broke down but it made for a nice adventure. The power goes off regularly during the daytime and the farm nearby is quite loud in the late mornings although there wasn't any bad smell from the farm. The Myanmar breakfast was good too. Nice place and would return.

(excellent combination) My favorite point of JL Lodge is its scenery which you can enjoy both orchid garden and myanmar traditional thanakhar . I would like to say again thanks a millions for my Second Prize Winner Trip and gracious service at the JL Lodge Hotel & Resort . I never thought I would very pleasant and happy trip like this. It's memorable experiences for my life ? The atmosphere is so special that it really felt like home to me. All respect for the Manager Ko Pyae Phyo Naing & reception staffs who does a great job here; a true sample of excellent hospitality! Strongly recommend, you won’t believe their room price and their amazing service!

Recomended deluxe rooms almost at the beach panorama seaview.Great infinity swimming pool.Only missing insect screen at windows same as elsewhwre in burma but very few mosquitoes bcs ocean wind Ngwe saung has almost western hotel prices dont be shocked when caming from Thailand.But food and transport are cheap.Same as Thais are sprayhappy unlike Thais dont understand I want salty ocean air not inhaling their perfumed chemicals.Ocean watwr is very clean in Ngwe saung.Sand no danger to step on a rock.And its soo relaxing to live there.Also glod breakfast.Euroburmese.U get to Ngwe saung by bus or taxi from Yangon.
