This place has the best Pittsburg Hotlinks in all of the entire East Texas area. They are smoked, and have nice crispy outer crunch with a perfectly cooked center. Restaurant was clean. Has a very friendly and efficient staff. Plenty of seating. I will come back every time I am in Longview!

Enjoyed a big bbq rib meal with pulled pork sandwiches when we hosted 8 people after church. This place has very tasty sauces for their bbq. I found the prices were a little on the higher for the place but I understand they're some of the best.

Ok, so I don't buy the hype when magazines say this place or that one is ranked #1 BBQ joint in Texas, but since this one was supposedly #2 in the whole state, I gave it a try. Then I've been going back ever since.Yes, it might be a bit crowded inside and the hours are short (dude, I'd like to buy dinner after 6pm and y'all close at 5 - I'm still at work at that time) but the BBQ is the best around (all the way up to Nashville). This is not your average Bodacious restaurant, or if this one is it, then all the others can't hold a candle to it. It's worth the drive from everywhere in Texas.I've had the brisket, the pulled pork, links and boudain and all were amazing. The fixings are great too, but I go there for the meat. Tender, perfectly seasoned, life-restoring meat. When you watch them get the brisket from the smoker, all wrapped in paper, and you see that perfect outer layer dark from all the smoke, and you can tell just how juicy it stayed while they're cutting it...man, it's worth it.Maybe it's better that they don't stay open longer - it'd be bad for my budget to go there everyday...but I'd still give it a try if they would.

We were looking for BBQ, and we sure found it! We loved the food, and the folks were so friendly. Ribs weren't ready yet, so we ordered brisket. It was excellent. Then later Unc's brought us rib tips for free! I would definitely go back again.

If you are visiting Longview don't miss Carter's. I always take my out of town friends here. The brisket is fantastic, you also will share your table with oil field workers, bankers, cops etc.. love this place. Go for lunch not dinner (can run out)

Located in a very nice Shell gas station. There were also a Sonic, Original Fried Pie Shop along with the Texas Best Smokehouse. We placed our order at the counter. They offered a variety of BBQ meats, hot vegetables, desserts, and salads. Hubby and I both decided to try their turkey sandwich on a bun and two sides. Some of the sides we chose were their pasta and cucumber salad and green beans. The salads were a bit bland but hubby enjoyed them. The green beans were hot and were seasoned nicely. The sides were of adequate size. The turkey sandwiches were moist and had a nice smoked flavor. We got our order to go but they do offer indoor seating. They also have a pickle, onion, and pepper bar along with two choices of BBQ sauce. One was sweet and the other spices. We preferred the sweet sauce. The turkey sandwich was outstanding. It was served on a large soft bun. We will definitely be back when traveling through the area.
