If you are visiting Longview don't miss Carter's. I always take my out of town friends here. The brisket is fantastic, you also will share your table with oil field workers, bankers, cops etc.. love this place. Go for lunch not dinner (can run out)

What a great tasting burger. Meat cooked to perfection and topped a great assortment of toppings. You can also add toppings if you like. It is just fantastic the way they make it. Good amount of seating. Nice family atmosphere. Good for solos, couples, business meetings and families. Can't go wrong here.

Went there yesterday for lunch with my friend/co-worker. She got the 1/2 chicken lunch and I got the chicken enchiladas w/extra sauce. Needless to say YUMMY and filling. Only wished they would bring back their campfire vegetables (so gooood!!) Their rolls are addictive so beware. Good, fast and friendly service. Def. would recommend to anyone for lunch or get a whole chicken to take home for supper!

Two locations in Longview. This review is about the W. Marshall Ave. location. Four of us ordered lunch at this former service station turned local restaurant. Food was hot and fresh, and surprisingly, a beautiful presentation. My grilled catfish tacos were smothered in red cabbage and topped with 2 slices of avocado. Underneath all of that were a couple of hush puppies and deliciously seasoned French fries that I couldnât possibly finish. The other fried fish and shrimp baskets were also delicious. Staff was friendly and very happy. If I ever find myself in Longview TX again, I will be making a return visit.

Not your typical steakhouse. More of a neighborhood tavern than a steakhouse. Donât expect to give your name and how many are in your party. But donât be fooled by the tavern atmosphere because Leonâs serves a delicious ribeye, New York strip, grilled shrimp along with several other good looking choices on the menu. The main dining room has a bar, juke box and 2 pool tables. Adult drinks are limited to beer and wine but you can BYOB. On weekends the back room is open with a live band and a dance floor. You can also eat in the back during those times. Very cool place to hang out with friends.

This was our first time to visit a Copelandâs and to us it was average. We arrived at 5:30pm and was promptly seated and drink order was placed. About 15 minutes passed before we placed our food order. Took about 30 minutes to get our food. My wife and I ordered the chicken parmigiana which was good but it tasted the same as if we got it from Cheesecake Factory or the Magic Time Machine. Nothing really stood out in flavor. Our son ordered the Copeland burger to which he said it was good but hard to eat since it is served on a croissant roll. Our daughter got the Fearless Fried Chicken/ Fries. I tasted them and they were breaded and seasoned well. The fries were just okay. Price wise it really isnât bad with the nice decor and atmosphere but this will probably be our only visit.

Came here because of a recommendation from those staying at the Holiday Inn North. Walking distance away and was here for an early dinner. Table of 4 had a crab meat burger, bison burger, bison meatloaf and a Mediterranean salad. All of us were very happy with our choices. Fries were excellent, and all dishes were sumptuous and very reasonably priced. While eating the evening special of brisket was brought to another table and it smelled and look great too!! Would definitely return next time in the area. Nice patio dining option and happy hour too.

Located in a very nice Shell gas station. There were also a Sonic, Original Fried Pie Shop along with the Texas Best Smokehouse. We placed our order at the counter. They offered a variety of BBQ meats, hot vegetables, desserts, and salads. Hubby and I both decided to try their turkey sandwich on a bun and two sides. Some of the sides we chose were their pasta and cucumber salad and green beans. The salads were a bit bland but hubby enjoyed them. The green beans were hot and were seasoned nicely. The sides were of adequate size. The turkey sandwiches were moist and had a nice smoked flavor. We got our order to go but they do offer indoor seating. They also have a pickle, onion, and pepper bar along with two choices of BBQ sauce. One was sweet and the other spices. We preferred the sweet sauce. The turkey sandwich was outstanding. It was served on a large soft bun. We will definitely be back when traveling through the area.

Excellent Meal and Service. The wait was not too long even though it looked like it would be. We went to the bar to wait and we were called before the end of 1st drink. The filet was so tender - and tasty.The service was very good. As soon as salads were done, our meal came.

Took a date here the other night and it's still the best in town! Blackened catfish over rice was amazing and service was outstanding! Owner came up and checked on us and really gave us a great feel for the restaurant! Great local spot that isn't the same ol' same ol' you get from the franchise places!
