I wanted a light lunch so I ordered crispy chicken tacos.I prefer made-in-the-kitchen fried corn tortillas to the pre-packaged ones, but seldom do I find these in any restaurant except for Las Vegas Cafe in Harlingen, TX.So, the tacos showed up dressed in pre-packaged tortillas. The chicken was ranchero-style, moist and tasty. The rice was way above average. The refried beans were terrible. They prepare them with comino, and this is a refried bean sin. I just want to taste beans. Add the comino only to chili gravy, etc.The chips were good and the 2 salsas were average at best because neither had any heat. The pico de gallo that came with the tacos was not good. Lacked salt, lime juice and peppers. There were no chopped jalapeno or serrano peppers, a pico major fail.Too many shortcomings for anything more than an average rating.Great service.

Doesn't look like much when you first pull. In a little strip center, but walk through door and its your typical Mexican Restaurant. They have an extensive lunch menu with lots of options including fajitas. Lunch specials last until 3 during week and still have them on weekends just shorter hours. Free queso with lunch. I got the fajitas. Hubby got Shrimp soup, its not on the menu other than as a side option on their seafood section of menu, but they also sale bowls of it and it has a great broth and lots of big shrimp. Their tortillas were fresh and good. Their green salsa was delicious. I didn't really like their red salsa as it was warm and more like a marinara, would have been good with garlic bread, just not chips. For travelers it not far off the highway. Easy off and on and big parking lot, we were pulling camper so this was important to us. We would stop again if coming through.
