Bristol is the halfway point when traveling to an annual family outing. J Frank was rated so well on Trip Advisor that we decided to try it out. It was Fabulous!!! We had seating in the outdoor dining area, it was a delightful evening. There were 2 couples and we started with drinks & small plates. Two had gin martinis, one a vodka martini, & I had a vodka gimlet. Since I wasn’t driving I had a second one. Yummy & cheers for all. The appetizers we shared were crab hushpuppies & salmon dip. These were very good. For our entree each couple ordered the Chilean Sea Bass & split. There was a slight split fee & well worth it. This might have been one of the tastiest pieces of fish my husband & I have had. It was cooked to perfection. The cherry tomato risotto it was served over was delicious. Our shared sides were Brussels sprouts & pimento cheese grits. I love cheese grits & these were oh so very good. The chef has a key lime cake that we shared for dessert. It was very good. We made friends with the people sitting at the next table & they were telling us about the restaurant & it’s owner, Jason. As we were leaving my brother in law, who has to use a walker, was having a hard time with his neuropathy & difficultly walking. The 3 of us were helping him to the sidewalk when the nicest gentleman offered us assistance. It turns out that he was Jason, the owner of J Frank. Thank you for your help. We will definitely be back to eat at J Frank on our next trip to Bristol. I highly recommend you give J Frank a try.

Stopped here as it was close to our hotel; haven't been to a Long John Silver's in a long time. Fish was good; fried quickly in hot oil; nice crispy crust with no breading. Vidalia onion rings were awesome; Mitzi the mgr came to our table and told us she grows them in her own garden! I would stop here again just to enjoy those Vidalia onion rings and chat again with Mitzi - she's a sweetheart!
