Tagaytay Hotels | Places to Stay in Tagaytay

Tagaytay secures its place on most Philippines itineraries with its location above Taal Volcano's active crater. Views of the crater lake and a refreshingly cool climate make the town an enticing destination—not to mention the famously unfinished People's Park in the Sky.

We stayed in Quest Hotel Tagaytay during the 1st week of June 2022. The main reason our family picked this hotel is undoubtedly because of its budget friendly rates (better check their website as they also offer packages ?) We arrived at the property at 2:45pm for check-in. Front desk has managed the long queues properly. We stayed in One Bedroom Suite. Upon entering the room, we received a special mini sandwich platter in which we really love and surprisingly, the room looks bigger than the photos published online! What I liked in our room: • Available area to place your stuff and shoes • Very spacious living room • Sofa is convertible to an extra bed (+ points to this!) • 2 Televisions (1 in the bedroom and 1 in the living room) both are smart TVs in which very convenient for us as we were able easily connect our phones (Samsung) and watch movies during our nighttime family bonding • High quality and comfortable beddings • Spacious comfort room (w/ bathtub and hair dryer availability) • Reachable sockets to charge phones • Fast internet connection About hotel’s service: • Front desks who were very courteous and maintained their composure despite of the long queues ahead • Hotel Manager (Mr. Randie Gutierrez) who ensured we have everything that we need and guaranteed that our comfort is at the level best until we checked-in in our room. Mr. Gutierrez is also aware of my mother’s birthday celebration and ensured to check my mom to say hello! • Housekeeper who managed the extra bed set up. He even asked if we want additional toiletries and proactively gave us extra pillows and a blanket (since it’s raining that time) in which he thought we might need. The next day – we were able to have an option to take our breakfast inside the room. Breakfast is plated and we can opt for a Filipino, Continental or American Breakfast + a choice of hot or cold drink ? Overall, we did enjoy our stay in Quest Hotel Tagaytay and definitely, it will be in our list again when we go back! Thank you so much for your service! Nothing beats excellent service! ?

Needs a lot of improvement

We decided to stay for an overnight stay in Tagaytay after my husband and I attended an event. We booked the hotel via Agoda and got a great deal. When we arrived at the hotel we were immediately assisted to bring out our luggage and I immediately went to the reception to check in.. it was a breeze however they are not like other hotels which will allow you to check in early. They advised us that they were fully booked the night before but when we were waiting in the lobby it seems that they were not because there are a few guest who checked out. Maybe its there alibi not to allow early check in and late check out (because they mentioned the same thing when we were asking to be extended for maybe 30mins - 1 hr) they also advised the same thing that they are fully booked given that its a Monday. We were checked in at the 8th floor. I got disappointed when we got in our room. Our room is very outdated and dirty. Wires around the TV are loose, Aircon is leaking, No floor towels in the CR, Lampshade is very dirty, Walls and floors has cracks, balcony has rust (which is very dangerous for guest), its noisy outside our room I’m not sure if that’s an aircon compressor outside our room but its really annoying. The wifi keeps on disconnecting on my phone and laptop I had to re-connect over and over again. They have a good service though it was very fast maybe because there aren’t enough guest its just that when they knock in your room its feels like your obliged to open it immedietly as after they doorbell they will knock endless time and shout room service (unprofessional way) and oh its just sad that they also charge 100.00 for a bucket of ice I stayed in other hotels and they don’t charge us for that. Amenities is also not recommended for use such us pool area I find it really dirty as the water is cloudy. They should train their staff more when I tried calling customer service I didn’t even understand a word she said as she was in a hurry talking to me and they were not courtious over the phone. Basement parking has no use as I think it became the hotel’s stock room. However let me also say what I like about the hotel. 1. Location wise is perfect it has a very nice view of Taal. 2. Good breakfast plus they offer refreshments beside the elevator all day 3. Pet friendly 4. Security guards are attentive 5. I like the lobby 6. Fast service (though needs to improve quality of service) Not recommended as of now not until they update there room and amenities..

unplanned staycation with mom and titas

Reviewed By Sherpa147966

Were walk-in guests in the hotel were 6pax with 4 seniors and 2 middle age. were happy because there is more available room for us and the room rate is 10k per night standard rate, the staff said we have a promo now 30% discount in the room you will be pay 7,700.00 net. Me: Im with four (4) senior citizens can you remove the 12% Vat in the room since the room is already discounted? Staff: No Sir the room is already discount we cannot remove the VAT. Me: Ms all am asking is to remove the VAT because there are VAT exemptions and they have the privilege of being senior citizens here in the Philippines. The staff called her manager over the phone she explain everything and I also have a chance to talk to her over the phone and explain to remove the VAT because my mom is senior citizen and she will be the one to pay the room accommodation and we still get no final answer meaning the VAT still there. The Manager said they will arrange tomorrow they will talk to their finance and higher management about the VAT exemption of senior citizen. Then it's time to check out and we got the final answer from top management decision that there is still VAT for our room accommodation, we felt sad because that is in the republic act 9994 defines the privileges all senior citizens in the Philippines are entitled to a 20% senior citizen discount and are exempted from VAT. This includes the Hotels: Accommodation and amenities in hotels, beach resort, mountain resorts and etc. And we left the hotel unhappy, they did not remove the VAT and mom still pay for it. I also asked for a DTI permit for their promo room, but they showed me nothing. if you have a promo, whether it's room, Food & Beverages, Services and retails and it's published, you must have a DTI permit. but they didn't show me anything. Final say: You will also grow old, we will also go there, I hope you give the privilege given by our government for senior citizens. "Republic act 9994"

"Very tranquil..."

Reviewed By michaelsJ791MZ

Stayed at this place just this weekend and we really had fun. One thing that stood out for me was its tranquility. it being situated around 2km off the main road is not really a drag. Perfect if you really want some peace and quiet. Our room is just ok, the beds are nice and comfy. The TV only had cable channels, but we did not go there to watch TV :) The pool is not that big but even there were other guests, we almost always had the pool to ourselves. Maybe because it was cold. The people are nice, the guard even helped in carrying our things to our room. We had our breakfast outside, so maybe will try theirs next time. Overall the stay was nice and we will definitely come back!
