I'd use the term 'sports bar' very loosely for this one. I only saw 3 TV, s (there could be more) the drinks are on the expensive side, (it's not even a smart place that could explain the higher prices) I can't comment on the football watching experience, as my wife refused to return due to the state of the toilets! But if you really want to see the footie, it looks like this is the only place.

By the time we went there there have been only 4 other people. As we went up the balcony to the bar the bartender was screaming and singing very loudly like crazy! As we talked to him to get a beer he started screaming and dancing even more. We were like wtf? We had just one drink because during the whole time he was going totally crazy and the other guys told us it is the owner. He even did run trough the hole bar and kicked some chairs. So we felt very weird and left after 15 minutes.Wir wollten ein Bierchen trinken und sind somit in diese Bar gegangen. Als wir auf den Balkon sind, wo die Bar war, haben wir an der Bar ein Bier bestellt. Der Barkeeper schrie und sang bereits zuvor wie ein Irrer... und zwar wirklich wie ein Irrer. Als wir mit ihm sprachen sang, tanzte und schrie er als gäbe es kein Morgen mehr. Wir tranken schnell das Bier aus und gingen innerhalb von 15 minuten, denn er hörte nicht auf. Er rannte sogar durch die Bar, schmiss Stühle um etc.

My friends and I came here because it was open late while many other places were closed. They got pizza, which was terrible: cardboard-like, pre-cooked crust and processed toppings.I had grilled calamari, which turned out pretty good: big portion, tender, sautéed nicely with garlic, and not overcooked. The service, however, was downright rude. I asked the waiter a question about what came with a dish, he spat the answer at me and walked away. Later, he flung the bill at us. After we paid, he said something in Singhalese to us (about us?), so I said "pardon me?", and he rudely waved his hand and said in English "just go". I can't think of anything we did that would have made someone act this way!

Came across Gaamaâs place just after arriving in Hikkaduwa.Gaama was so friendly and funny we returned there every night of our holiday.The rottis were delicious whether savoury or sweet,especially the banana and honey.Highly recommend the drink âArackâ,goes down very easily,and Gaama made sure I never had an empty glass.All the family were lovely people,and of course superstar Billy Boy!This rotti house is well worth a visit and a lot of return visits!

We opted to come here for some lunch as there was a number of people there but most were just having drinks.The service was generally slow, but as is in Sri Lanka, so we just enjoyed the view.We had the chicken noodles which came quick and was nice. We had also ordered the fried prawns and calamari with fires and salad and when the waiter took our order we had to show him the item and repeat ourselves, but we still felt he didnât understand. 10mins after the noodles arrived we were given a plate of curry calamari with fries and salad and had to explain to the waiter again and show him the menu item, another 20 mins later just fries calamari arrived but with cold chips, we had explained this was still wrong but as the noodles had already been finished we just kept the plate. Unfortunately the calamari was tough and as the chips were cold most of it was left. We didnât get an apology for the service so wonât be coming back.Maybe just come for a beer in the beach
