Hwy 55 has a psudo 50s decor which is fun.The burgers are good size and they allow you to choose any or all the fixings you want including chili and slaw. The onion rings are yummy. And they offer really good frozen custards including real chocolate malts. On Fridays they offer 2 burgers, 2 fries and two drinks for $12. Every time we visit Hwy 55 we have had amazing service. The staff is really friendly and they kept my tea full (which is something on a hot summer day)Hwy 55 is quickly becoming a go to place for us.

My kids and my mother visited this Waffle House and even though it was kind of crowded, the staff was quick and courteous. My only complaint is it was COLD! Otherwise, the food was pretty good. I ordered the philly steak with bacon and onions and I highly recommend it. The prices were fairly reasonable.

Growing up I did not encounter Huddle House. Became aware of them when they established a restaurant in Brevard NC a number of years ago but never got around to try them. Generally speaking, their restaurants are spread out and a bit out of the way.Had to drop a sample at an outside testing lab this morning outside of Camden. Last night, I looked on Tripadvisor and other online sites for potential places for breakfast after I dropped off the sample and there was Huddle House.Perfect opportunity to give them a try.Dropped off the sample at 8:00 am and was at the Huddle House door at 8:25 am.Walked in and stood there. Nothing to indicate seat yourself. Restaurant was only about 1/2 full and looked to be the end of the first breakfast rush. Other half was empty tables and a couple of tables that had not been cleaned yet.Two minute later, still standing there. Had made eye contact with a couple of servers but no response. Looked around for a seat yourself sign and again nothing.After waiting another minute or so, I left. It was almost as if I were invisible but only worse. Visible but no one wanted to acknowledge me. Can't figure that one out. After all, I had a shower and brushed my teeth and gargles with Mouthwash before I left the house.Needless to say after leaving, I got back in the car and headed back to Charlotte. About an hour later I decided to give the manager a call so at least they could be aware of this issue.Response was no better. Phone rang and rang and rang and so somewhere around a minute and no answer, I hung up.Overall impression of the restaurant is pathetic . Can't comment on the menu nor the quality of the food because we never got to that point so consequently can not recommend this restaurant on these points. Definitely can not recommend the restaurant based on service.Would not recommend. Over the next couple of months I expect to be in this area several more times and I thing I can find better place for breakfast

Really nice & efficient staff! Tasty diner food breakfast plus sandwiches etc., Friendly atmosphere, lots of regulars. Not big on fruit but juices, & also veggies for omelets. Great hash browns & grits. 24-hr convenient location right off main route 521 next to Holiday Inn Express hotel.
