Restaurante y cabañas Kal-tepet we have an exceptional service in a place that you will love and never forget it.

Visited Kaltepet with my family for breakfast. This place seems to be a hit for locals but I think there are much better options of places to visit in the mountains with pretty views. It is a shame that all of the (breakfast food) is of the prepackaged sort. Everything is seasoned with consumé from the beans to the eggs. Tortillas are made from a box. In a country with a delicious food and fresh ingredients, the food here was nothing special. Service was slow but the restaurant was crowded... so some there must be something about this place that people like.

La atención fue muy buena y la comida también, pero lo mejor fue el lugar tiene una vista privilegiada y con muchas flores alrededor, despues de un trayecto de calle mala se siente un oasis estar en ese lugar.

The food and service were very good, but the view is what makes it. Prices are reasonable. We went on Sunday afternoon and it wasn't too busy. We had pollo and pescado, both were very good.

We have eaten here many times now and the food has always been top notch. Highly recommended are the juicy 6 oz burgers; the chili subs; chicken in ginger and lime sauce, and the salmon persillade. Vegetarian and vegan options are also available. Service is friendly, music is chilled and karaoke is there for those that want it. Particularly pleasant is the atmosphere - sharing your experience with chatty locals, whilst dining in a restaurant awash with artwork including tables made from recycled industrial spools, that are hand painted with mandalas.

Esmeralda does one thing and they do it well... Pupusas! The pupusas here are some of the best I’ve ever had. When you visit try the loco. It’s a big pupusa that’s loaded with everything! And it’s amazing! The restaurant is usually filled with locals with a few tourists at one or two tables. It’s an authentic El Salvadoreño experience. We came here twice for dinner during our stay in Juayua and loved it both times. The pupusas are great but the large bowl of spicy slaw that’s served with them rounds out the meal. I can’t say enough good things about Esmeralda Pupusaria. You’ve got to try it out!

Restaurante R & R

Chef Carlos Careres creates unique entrees combining talents learned while studying in Canada with his El Salvadoran background. We ate at his restaurant, as recommended in Frommer's guide, and it was the best meal we had bar none in El Salvador. The stea

Had a nice steak dinner in this pleasant restaurant on one of Juayua's main streets. I found the small (4 oz) version to be more than enough food, as it came with a plate of potatoes fried with cheese, rice, and bread. A number of beef dishes with various sauces on the menu, as well as ribs with barbecue sauce. Nicely decorated dining rooms, friendly wait staff. But my friend and I were the only customers on a Wednesday night.
