Koper (Slovene pronunciation: [ˈkoːpəɾ] ( listen)) (Italian: Capodistria) is a city in southwestern Slovenia, with the other Slovenian coastal towns Ankaran, Izola, Piran, and Portorož, situated along the country's 47-kilometre (29-mile) coastline, in the Istrian Region, approximately five kilometres (3.1 miles) from its border with Italy. Having a unique ecology and biodiversity, it is considered an important national natural resource. The city's Port of Koper is the major contributor to the economy of the eponymous city municipality. With only one percent of Slovenia having a coastline, the influence that the Port of Koper also has on tourism was a factor in Ankaran deciding to leave the municipality in a referendum in 2011 to establish its own. The city is a destination on a number of Mediterranean cruising lines. In 2016, the city expects 65 cruise ship arrivals (for example: Norwegian Spirit, MSC Magnifica, Norwegian Jade, MS Rhapsody of the Seas...) with the season spanning from March to December. Koper is the main urban centre of the Slovenian Istria, with a population of about 25,000.

Loved this place ... Tried a great local IPA and the atmosphere was awesome. They have a piano and some old records. The bartender (sorry I forgot your name but the cute guy with tattoos!) was really friendly and helpful... Koper is a small town and I wouldn't hesitate to say this is the best bar around!

The atmosphere is very pleasant, recently renovated, and inviting even crowded - as it is very popular, a reservation is obligatory. The waiting staff is very unattentive. The most disappointing fact was that the place is popular for grilled meat - but the taste is hard to stomach from not cleaning the grill regularly.

We were on a TUI cruise so only had a few hours in Koper so we decided to stop for some lunch and a beer. We found this little restaurant whilst walking towards the old harbour. It is quaint interior with a few tables outside! The staff were great and the food was lovely. I had a beef dish and my partner had a cauliflower and leek pie. Neither of the dishes were how we imagined they would be they were better and delicious! Would definitely go again!

My husband an I have visited the place three times so far, and every time we went the food was excellent. Family-run, with great sense for customer service, I recommend this place not just to plant-based enthusiasts, but also to people who simply like good, homemade food. Crostatas, potato and pasta salads, soups, and main courses like pancakes with spinach filling that change daily - we tried most of it, and all was delicious. The "worst" thing about the place is that it got pastries you can*t say no to. Prices are moderate. Will be visiting soon again.Thank you very much for your review. Itâs on the way to the center, near the seaside. We had fried fish, chips. All was very delicious and simple. Itâs a self service place. Drinks were ice cold. The bread was good. There are several tables outside. The price was reasonable with the quality

I have write a report two or even more years before. By accident I have returned. It was not been my choice and I was almost a little angry about it. However I have take the whole launch here again. Just ... at my surprise a lot has changed. A lot! The food is much much better. Whatever i have tried it was perfect. Also the staff was been far more better then before. The price of the meal has rise but I can survive if the other thing is that much better. Congrats to the owner. The moral of the story for me is that: give another chance to person maybe you can be surprised!

Itâs mostly sea food, you can also find meat dishes. But both are so delicius (fresh) and filling that theyâre worth the price. Prices are around 10-20 per dish. And the service is so kind that youâd like to stay and chat.

We were there with the family for dinner and were absolutely stunned how great the food was. We had a fantasic 4 course dinner and enjoyed every single dish we got. The owner is a lovely person who explains everything in details, knows and loves cooking and you notice immediately that this is his passion. Excellent food and excellent service in a relaxing atmosphere with great view. We were happy that we found this little gem. Reservation is recommended as the restaurant is not that big (although we were lucky and got a seat with coming in like that, but we arrived pretty early).

We had a family lunch here in January 2019 and to be honest it was great. We waited a little bit longer than I expected but when the appetizers arrived the things were improved. It was a very busy night and the staff were rushed off their feet, but still they kept calm and maintained service. The menu comprises many seafood items that are well cooked. The food was satisfactory to good, but not overwhelmingly so. The meals tended to be on the larger side.Credit cards were accepted.
