Nice little garden and pool, and the owners were really helpful, and very accommodating when we needed to adjust our checkout date earlier, having arrived. There’s no food on site but there are some decent restaurants after a very short walk into town. We loved the chance to explore the river and walking paths and really enjoyed our few days in the area.

The Mas has been restored for inauguration in 2005 keeping the original outside look while giving it warm interior decoration. There is the possibility of staying there for 90€ in a double bed with private bath or for 130€-150€ in a suite (double bedroom, private bath, plus private living space with additional bed possible) or for 90€ in a double bed with private bath. Each room has its own peculiar feel and charm. In addition, there is a wide porch open to the south, plenty of terrace space, over an acre of grass, a 300 feet pond to swim and a game room including billiard and fuzz ball table. Breakfast will be served for 10€ per person. Sales tax (8% IVA) needs to be added to all these prices.
Amazing location with beautiful sunrises
Reviewed By 7laetitianI had read some negative reviews about Mas del Mar, so I felt a bit nervous about our booking there but in the end it was a wonderful stay. We had a suite on the first floor with access to the terrace which was amazing as I could go outside in the morning and watch the sunrise over the sea and then go back inside to sleep a little more! The location really is the best thing - near the beach and near the river. It's a beautiful, quiet location. You can hear the waves washing onto the beach and there are lots of birds around the pond in the garden. The house is rustic and full of charm. In the evenings the fire was lit in the lounge and we enjoyed sitting by the fire and relaxing. Our bedroom was very comfortable, cosy and warm and the bed was comfortable. The shower was clean and had lots of hot water with good water pressure. The walls at Mas del Mar are VERY thin, so you can hear what your neighbours are doing as well as hearing people walking around above you. I think it's worth those inconveniences though. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We didn't pay for breakfast - we took our own food which we ate on the terrace. It would have been nice to have tea and coffee making facilities in the room, but the staff will give you hot water if you take your own tea and they have a coffee vending machine downstairs too. I wish we could have stayed for longer.

Wonderful Stay
Reviewed By Abhinav BI stayed here with my wife for a couple of days and it was really wonderful. The rooms were clean and the staff was super helpful. They have a fully functional kitchen that ypu can use and they also give bicycles to the residents if they require it. Its very close to a supermarket and a petrol pump and all the beaches and coves in the area. This place is a must if you are in the area and want to blow off some steam.

Reviewed By Stian VThe hostess doesn't speak English, but that wasn't a problem at all. She must be the kindest soul in Spain, and have a big heart. A lovely little place to stay and perfect service for our stay. When we left we even got some dried flowers as a present. :-)

Funny activities with a nice staff and the restaurant has several interesting and tasty options of food, mojitos (normal and alcohol-free), coffee... Both us, the adults, and the kids enjoyed a lot. All the services are there (supermarket and top croissants in the bakery). We stayed in one glamping and it has been so cozy. Nice days, good vibes... thanks!

Reviewed By Ralfs KUsed hotel on a self-drive holiday - appealing with free parking, free wifi, clean and spacious rooms with good equipped kitchenette. Few minutes drive to several nearby beach locations with recreational activities. One will find cultural or sightseeing locations in short driving distance (e.g. Dali Theatre-Museum in Figueres), Gran Jonquera Outlet mall takes little longer, but shoppers will appreciate. Talking only Spanish/Catala owner was very helpful and even little experienced tourists will get the necessary local information. Overall - good value for money; just read honest description what to expect.

Better than ever
Reviewed By krnielseWe have been coming here for year, but as its been almost 2 years since last visit I thought it suitable to update my review as we have now added my daughter to visitor list. In short, this place is great. The atmosphere is calm and relaxed without ever compromising on service levels. The hotel itself is beautiful, an old stone building, and rooms are clean and large (some with private terrace. Owners are extremely friendly and professional and with teh recent addition of an excellent chef tu run the restaurant this place is a real gem!
