Salamanca Bed and Breakfast Inns | Places to Stay in Salamanca

April 26, 2023 Claudia Navarrete

Known as Spain’s "golden city," Salamanca is rich in architectural, religious and gastronomic culture. Marvel at the La Casa de las Conchas (house of shells) and the 18th century Plaza Mayor, then pore over the fresh produce of the Central Market. Both the Old and New Cathedrals of Salamanca are celebrations of Renaissance and Gothic styles.

2 night stay in a room overlooking the square

Reviewed By Boggle75

The location of this property is excellent - rooms overlooking the Playa Mayor. Really stunning and makes this location. Rooms are adequate - comfortable beds and decent wardrobes / storage. Aircon worked well. Rooms - despite being on the square - weren't at all noisey when doors shut. Could be improved: not sure why there is a desk in the room for that location, would be better to replace that with comfortable seating to drink in the square view. Personal preference. On the whole this is a very memorable place to stay 1-2 nights. No facilities on site - but the square is full of restaurants, cafes and bars. Would happily return.

Good value for money.

We chose this hôtel because we could get a bedroom for 4. It looks a bit oldish but rooms are kept very clean. We were a bit afraid of the noise as there is a small bar below, but with the air con working well we could sleep with the windows closed. Walking distance from the old town and Plaza Mayor.

Great location - very nice place

Reviewed By Marcela_and_Thomas

I've spend a very nice time - 4 nights at this very nice place. It is only a few minutes walk from the main street. It has very modern rooms, room cleaning every day, and is is very confortable. They do offer breakfast for only 4.- EUR. The only little dissadvantage was that my room was directly opposite the elevator. And at nighttime, when the drunk guests came back home, it was a little noisy when they tried to find their room.

Nice Room, Not Access Friendly

If you can cope with four flights of stairs then this place has good rooms and pleasant service. We had a nice room last minute during fiesta time in September, you are high enough above the streets not to hear too much of the late night rabble.

Great quiet hotel

Reviewed By JLizzieH

We had a twin room on the first floor, there was plenty of room and the beds were clean and comfortable. The hotel serves breakfast and lunch, and then for an evening meal customers need to go to the bar round the corner, which is run by the same family. We found staff friendly although they spoke only Spanish. The wifi was good and there was plenty of on street parking. The buffet breakfast was good value at €3.50 per person.

Fantastic location & value

Reviewed By Emma P

We have just returned from our 3 night stay at Pension Alevia. It was in a fantastic location, a stones throw from Plaza Mayor & Cathedral etc. We had the Quadruple room because our children are still quite young, no frills, but ideal and perfectly adequate. We had an en suite bathroom and views of the Cathedral. The Señora was lovely and couldn't have been more helpful. On our arrival she gave us vouchers for a cafe nearby and offered loads of information. Salamanca is amazing and I would really recommend this Pension. Great!
