Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu (French pronunciation: [sɛ̃ ʒɑ̃ syʁ ʁiʃəljø]) is a city in eastern Montérégie in the Canadian province of Quebec, about 40 kilometres (25 mi) southeast of Montreal. It is situated on the west bank of the Richelieu River at the northernmost navigable point of Lake Champlain. The results of the 2011 Census stated that the city's population was 92,394; the number of residents was estimated at 94,636 in 2014.

The deep fried cod was fantastic. I took 2 pieces with the fries which are done quebecois style - so good! The coleslaw was also delicious that came with it. Only thing was the entree salad was a bit weird covered with pieces of pineapple watermelon and tomato. The salad leaves didnât seem fresh. Would skip the salad in the future. Service was just âokâ nothing spectacular.

Set in the St-Jean marina on the Richelieu River, this vast and recently renovated restaurant has a big open bar, neatly decorated indoor seating and a gigantic terrace.The three of us chose a terrace table close to the boats.We ordered from the luncheon menu and we all took the same main course: grilled salmon with tomato sauce, vegetables and rice. The fish was well prepared, perfectly cooked (moist and not dry) and the vegetables were delicious.We shared a nice bottle of light red recommended by our waitress. Service was impeccable and things are reasonably-priced.I am told that during a sunny and warm weekend, the place is completely packed and service can be quite slow; best to do like us and visit during a weekday.This is a spot I intend to definitely return.

I guess most "Marina" restaurant are pretty bad. This one is Ok but the food is not particularly good.
