Quiet, clean and friendly
Reviewed By angelikat983We had a 2 night stay. Owners were very friendly and accomodating. The room was clean and quiet. Very close walk to the water with beautiful walking/cycling trails. Large veranda at the front of the hotel with comfortable chairs. Wonderful experience, will definitely return.

Reviewed By 441gpWe were sooo fortunate to stumble upon this lovely gem along the St Lawrence River. On our way home from PEI we stopped for the night to unexpected royal treatment. Yves is a superior host. We loved the balconies, fruit trees and view of the River. We walked down to the beach. Welcome cocktail and bedtime drink and a gourmet breakfast! Our host made bird nests on toast for breakfast which came after fruit and yogurt, and a cheese tray. We will definitely return

Reviewed By carianmacVictorian/Gothic style. Every space is filled with all sorts of furnishings and bric-a-brac. Not to everyone’s taste but we rather liked it. It made the spaces feel very cosy. We had booked an evening meal in the up-market restaurant that is part of the Auberge and we were somewhat disappointed. The duck breast (for 2) that we had ordered was tough, though the confit was fine. Breakfast the next morning in the same restaurant was good. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Reviewed By TripsteroidAt first glance, from a distance, Motel Bic looks like another strip motels that appear along secondary highways across the continent. But as they say, first impressions can be deceiving, and upon arrival, it quickly becomes clear that this is no ordinary motel. The property is pristine, right down to the white-painted brick and Our room was really a one-bedroom suite with a fridge, microwave, double burner range and a full set of dishes and light cooking utensils. The walls are made of a beautiful white wood, whose fragrance permeates the rooms. The bathroom is modern. The shower water pressure is a bit meek, though. The queen bed was very comfortable and there is plenty of room to relax, dine on the expanding table, or work at the desk in the bedroom. The takeout continental breakfast consisted of yogurt, croissant, Dad’s cookie, coffee or tea and orange juice. The hosts were very pleasant. We were satisfied in every way.

I arrived at the main building to check in and stepped back to another time - beautiful antique furnishings in a gorgeous and well maintained building - peaceful, warm and inviting. The check in desk has a comfortable seating area and stone fireplace adjoining the well laid out dining room and patio. I had personalized customer service and the rooms are super clean with everything you need; comfy beds, shower, wifi etc. - all in a peaceful setting overlooking the lake. I never felt rushed and every question was answered with grace and care. What more could one want? My stay was simply too short, I will recommend and return. PS: Be sure to leave time to sit by the lake with a glass of wine before dinner and arrive hungry. Delicious food for both dinner and breakfast, featuring many local treats!!!

Cabanon is a very nice place to stopover and no doubt, for those with more time, has a lot to offer. There is an excellent pizza place in town...

Reviewed By SueandLen2013We have stayed here twice this month en route to and from Halifax and Montreal. The B and B is charming and full of character and, like the owner Pauline, very welcoming. The rooms are extremely clean and well equipped. The beds are comfortable and hot water ample. The breakfasts are delicious, substantial, and beautifully presented. Pauline is a kind and generous host. On our second visit we had car trouble and she picked us up from where we were stuck and brought us to the gîte. In the morning she assisted us in resolving the problem. Service above and beyond the call of duty! We'll certainly stay here again!
