We have passed this restaurant many times on the way to Alcañiz but we usually have our dogs with us which means we have to sit outside restaurants. As it's getting cooler and a lot of places have taken their tables inside so it's getting harder to find places to eat. We stopped here, even though the tables are next to the road because at this time of year outside eating is limited.When we asked for the menu, the owner said that we could come inside with the dogs and gave a table at the back, which was perfect. The food was excellent. We both had the salad for starter and I had the lamb and my husband had the local sausage and Chorizo. Both came with chips and a grilled pepper garnish. Dessert was cream caramel for himself and I had a typical local dish of quince jelly with cheese. The whole meal was washed down with a very good red wine and the bread was soft and fresh. All the food came out freshly cooked and the main dishes were hot (this isn't always the case in village restaurants).We will definitely be stopping there again on our way back from shopping again. Highly recommended.

We loved this place for the quite authentic feeling it gave you. There was a very attractive menu 4 courses and local wine bottles (red and white) were put on the table. everything was delicious and the service extremely courteous. Do not miss if you are in the vicinity.

Fuimos 6. Estábamos solos. El local pequeño pero encantador. Muy buen gusto en decoración. Servicio impecable, de lo mejor que conocemos. Cambian los cubiertos con guantes. Cambian copas por servicio. Resumen impecable. La comida algo decepcionante, esperábamos algo más acorde con lo visto. Platos justos, algunos sin ninguna gracia. Mucha literatura en la carta para servir una ensalada. Sirven productos de la tierra. Hacer el viaje para encontrate esto... Fué una lástima. No se si repetiremos el viaje.

Visited with close friends and had a lovely lunch at a very reasonable price, choosing from the menú del dia: pan con tomate, patatas tibia con salmon y bacalao ahumado, croquetas caseras, tarta de turrón, vino, agua, a digestive of orujo and coffee for around 17⬠per head. Friendly family service and a pretty interior with an attractive terrace for warmer weather.

Fuimos ayer a comer en nuestro viaje de vuelta a casa. Escogimos este restaurante porque vimos que habÃa mucha gente y podÃa ser de bastante calidad. Entramos al restaurante sobre las 14:10 y salimos a las 16:30. Tardaron una hora casi clavada en traernos el primer plato y unos 50 minutos después el segundo plato. Nos comentaron que reparten la comida comanda por comanda; con razón la tardanza fue la que fue. Los postres los pedimos por favor junto con la comanda de los vecinos para que llegasen pronto (y realmente asi fue). Al acabar preguntamos si esto es asà todos los dÃas o cómo es posible que haya que esperar tanto. Nos dijeros que son cosas de cocina, nada más... Afortunadamente la comida estaba exquisita y muy bien presentada. RecomendarÃa un buen cambio de sistema de comandas y quizá alguna persona más en cocina, creo que pueden permitÃrselo con el volumen de negocio y la capacidad de la sala que tienen.

Recommended in many guide books, is the only place worth eating in the vilage of Calaceite. Whilst it is quite old, the dining rooms have been modernised and are perhaps a little on the "cold" side. We had the set lunch menu which offered a good choice of all three courses and we thought good value for money. The food was of a good standard and typically Spanish which as long term residents in the country we enjoy. Good service. The wine list was adequate and sensibly priced.
