Güéjar Sierra is a village and municipality located in the province of Granada, Spain. According to the INE, it had a population of 2,988 at the start of 2010. The village is situated in the north-western part of the Sierra Nevada mountain range, at an altitude of 1,088 metres. The municipality borders Pinos Genil, Dúdar, Quéntar, La Peza, Lugros, Jérez del Marquesado, Trevélez, Capileira and Monachil. Its boundary with Trevélez and Capileira runs along the highest ridge of the Sierra Nevada, and over Mulhacén, making these the three highest municipalities in peninsular Spain. The Genil and Maitena rivers rise in Güéjar.

Stayed in the Granada Palace hotel next door to it so this restaurant was really close. We ordered too much but the nice waiter put us right. Lovely food, ravioli with pear in it was something else. No time pressure to move on but service can be a bit slow when its busy.A slight problem was that we're used to eating at 17.30 at home but the restaurant didn't open till 20.00 so we were starving.

If you are in Granada and looking for a break from the delicious Spanish cuisine this is a fabulous choice. Delicious fresh food, good service and excellent value. You will not be disappointed. My daughter required gluten free menu and they had a good selection of pastas. Their carbonara sauce was excellent. Their pizzas are very good to. Recommended 100%. Will come back!Grazie mille

Don’t be confused - this is not gelato, but ice cream. Avoid and go across the way to a real gelato place with great flavors Hello, we are very sorry that our authentic Italian gelatoes were not to your liking. Maria's is a small unassuming cafe/ restaurant near the cathedral. Only 3 or 4 tables and bar stools. The food was incredible; I had the home made lasagne which had a lovely bechamel sauce and was so creamy with lots of cheese absolutley delicious. My friend had the vegetarian lasagne with spinach and zucchini which was equally as good. I had a sicilian lemon tart for desert and it was the best tart I have ever had - so lemony- better than any I have had in Sicily. The house wine was really good; crisp and fresh a really good Italian white wine. A fabulous meal very cheap less than 40 euros for 2 for 2 courses and wine - Maria was a lovely host and it was like sitting in someones sitting room in Italy. Awesome.

We went to Cacho & Pepe at the recommendation of other reviews at TripAdvisor & we were not disappointed. The food made here is homemade, delicious & very fresh. The owners are friendly & very accommodating. After 2 weeks of eating dinners in restaurants, we took our food back to our hotel room to enjoy as this is a take-away or take-out place with only two small tables if you prefer to dine in. Like other reviewers, we can highly recommend this restaurant.

This is full flavor Italian food and paper thin crust wood fired pizza. I see other reviewers saying their food was saucy and that the pizza was too thin...those are personal preferences I suppose but our experience was great. We ordered a traditional bolognese which was good and another pasta with goat cheese and tomato cream sauce and Italian sausage which was very good. House bread is delicious and they have a very interesting take on Tiramisu. Portions are huge--great for sharing.

We’ve been traveling for three months in Spain and Portugal and we were longing for affordable but different - this was a great place! Great burgers and fries, homemade pizza and nachos! Peter even made us some great margaritas from scratch! Don’t expect things to taste exactly like the American equivalents but it was all even better. We had a hard time not getting the basmati rice and curry dish...so many things to choose from. Marta is a wonderful cook and Peter a great bartender. We met a few locals there as well and had good conversation eating and drinking at the bar. There is a dining room however and it’s a great place for families.
