Great and lovely place to see.
We were there over weekend for celebration of friends 18th b-day and it was amazing. Service was fabulous, food delicious, it is little bit expensive but worth it to spend there.
I can only recommend this restaurant when you are any close by.

A little bit more expensive than some others nearby but worth it. The service on arriving was excellent and we were made to feel very welcome.
Menu is small but good options. A good wine list.
I ordered the sirloin with duck, it was cooked perfectly. They also had daily specials, two of our group had these (tbone and tuna dishes), both of which were highly thought of.
If in the area and you are looking for a dining treat this place is well worth a visit.

We absolutely loved our meal at La Oliva, and cannot recommend this experience enough. A huge tasting menu with five accompanying wines, all for €38 each. There were only three parties in the room when we visited, including ourselves, and Fransisco took great care to describe everything he served, and to tell us how each dish was created and which areas of Andalucia the ingredients came from. We spent about two hours there, and came our absolutely stuffed!
Booking is essential, as this is not a restaurant as such - they only serve their tasting menu, by appointment only. We emailed Fransisco with the dates that we were visiting Granada, and he let us know when he could fit us in. I would strongly advise doing the same, as this is a meal not to be missed!

Had an evening meal here. Good food, good friendly service. Ample on-street parking outside.
I had Pork medallions with Roquefort sauce and sautéed potatoes which was excellent - good portion size, very well cooked. My girlfriend had Spanish Omelette as she is a Vegetarian. Came to €25 including drinks, tax and service, which is good value for the quality.

With close friends and family, we had our holiday lunch here. We were treated to great and hospitable service. All our meals were delicious. The dining area, while very large and spacious, was very warm and presented us with a fantastic view of the mountainsides. I have been back once since then to enjoy some beer and tapas.

We loved the village but this was the only tapas/restaurant bar that was not friendly. In fact treated us as English differently to the Spanish. We were having a decent round of drinks and wanted some tapas. They gave us nothing but the Spanish all received some. The bar staff too were not inviting. I was hoping the same welcoming attitude that was wonderful throughout the village but it definAtely wasn't and we were disappointed. We wouldn't go back as plenty of other choices.

Both delicious accompanied by a couple of glasses of red wine. Very reasonably priced. Lovely friendly service. Shall be back!

It's hard to imagine how you could improve upon this place. The restaurant is situated in a picturesque gorge along the Tranvia. The food is local specialities, many of them family recipes. We had the 'Chuleton de Ternera' ... the most tender and tasty steak cooked to perfection. Not cheap At €22, but this is a dish to share not scoff alone. This is well off the tourist trail so the menu is in Spanish but the waiters will help with suggestions and they have wifi so you can google a translation. This is the perfect family venue ... spend the day walking, paddling and bathing along the Tranvia, then have a late lunch followed by another swim in their (river) pool complete with rope swing.

We have been in Sulayr twice this week and it is fantastic. From cosy wood burner to lovely wine and tapas it is a good experience. Christina and her partner are great cooks and rustled up some delicious vegetarian tapas for me. Creamed artichokes with cheese? New to me but lovely. I have now had the lasagne twice and my husband enjoyed a hearty spaghetti carbonara. Puddings are home made and apple pancakes were really good. There is a fairly extensive menu so we still have lots to try! We have been in Guejar Sierra for almost a week walking and I honestly think that if I had an emergency I would go to Christina for help and I know she would respond kindly. Just nice people who love cooking.

Best Tapas I've had since living in Spain. What is great about the tapas is the variety. From Morracan to Asian tapas and local cuisine, they were all tasty and authentic. The portions were great too. For ever drink purchased you get one tapa per person free and you can then order an extra one for €1.20. We had 3 drinks each resulting in 6 different delicious tapas all €24.20... Outstanding! I also recommend getting there before it opens because it will get packed! Highly recommended! Big shout out to one of the staff members Jorge he was so kind!
