Wonderful place to stay in Ponte Delgada!
Reviewed By Colleen WWe stayed in October 2021 and were a family with two separate apartments. This lovely place is ideal because it has the gardens and pool out back for you to gather and enjoy a sunny day, and the indoor lounge to sit and sip an espresso. The three ladies who took really good care of us during our stay are Nina, Lenia and Marguerita…I hope I have spelled their names correctly ; The went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and were so helpful and pleasant. Our daughter and husband had their 8 month old baby and this was well suited for them as this property had laundry and a portable bed and bath for baby. The location was excellent for walking into town (only 10 minutes) and was in the section of town where street parking was free. All in all a very enjoyable stay and thank you again to the ladies…you are all really good at taking care of your guests! Obrigado from all of us!

Reviewed By zelebernStayed for a week. The bathroom was very small, but new and there was another big bathroom off the hall. Nice kitchen. Mosquito netting on window - handy for keeping the flies out! The street was a bit noisy, but with the window closed it was only noticeable on the Saturday evening - and it wasn't noisy all night. The architecture is interesting - very very high ceilings and quite ornate doors. Our very tall window had net curtains - adequate for the day - and a pull down blind which didn't quite reach the bottom of the window, and didn't keep out the light. My friend was glad she had brought an eye mask. We didn't try the breakfast baskets as we wanted to try local bakeries and coffee shops for breakfast. The welcome was fine. The manager showed us round, recommended some activities and restaurants and asked us to leave the key on the door as we left. I only gave service 3 stars, because there aren't really any services, not because the welcome was inadequate. I've only given sleep quality 3 stars, because being central (which is great) it is also a bit noisy. The pillows were slightly lumpy and the mattress covers felt like plastic under the sheets. However, I think that it is a very convenient location, clean and modern. The rooms are well equipped with lamps, hanging space, drawers etc... and nicely decorated. The towels are big enough.

The breakfast is included but you must reserve a slot due the covid-19 restriction. If you have a car in the street is not available any parking lot

Un hotel con encanto

Sergio y Vania , encantadores , ayudan en todo y están pendientes de cada detalle. Los desayunos muy ricos, con los "bolos levedos " y repostería casera también! Sergio siempre pendiente de todo y habla español. La posibilidad de utilizar la cocina para comer o cenar y garage a buen precio son un plus. Y céntrico en Ponta Delgada, a 5 minutos de todo. Las habitaciones blancas impolutas, muy cómodas y decoradas con gusto, albornoz, zapatillas y tv plana con acceso a plataformas. En definitiva, muy recomendable, para repetir. Saludos a Sergio y Vania, les deseamos lo mejor y que vaya muy bien su alojamiento!

On arrival you will check-in and payment of your stay at the reception from 14:00, which will be handed the keys to the room. There is no limitation on the time of entry and exit of our guests. Keys should be returned on the day of your check-out until 11:30. Make yourself at home. All rooms are equipped with bed linen and bath towels. Room cleaning and change of towels will be performed daily or every two days, unless some exception. The change of bed linen will be changed at the end of your stay or every four days. The breakfast or other meals are not included in the accommodation, however we have at your disposal, the use of a fully equipped kitchen, exclusive to all our guests. If interested, we can arrange your trip with transportation, guided tours, animations and everything you need, at an additional cost. The Vintage Place is more than a modern, bold, warm, competitive cost and well located, it's undoubtedly the realization of a dream. Not just our dream, but each of which will pass through here.

Reviewed By 103zuzannasIf you plan to go for a weekend trip and stay in Casa da Matriz you will NOT get a minute of sleep ! The apartment is close to club/bar without any information about it. During the night the there are a lot of people on the street partying and the noise from the club do not let you sleep! We have moved in the middle of the stay and the owner did not give us any refund, ignored and sarcasticly replied to our complaint ! There is not hot water in the bathroom ! We received a dirty bathroom when we arrived. Overall I DO NOT recommend this place due to disrespect and lack of hospitality from the Casa da Matriz.

Reviewed By 968henriquemI would not stay here again. The location is good, but everything else is just low quality. You can literally hear everything that happens Everywhere inside the building. We stayed in the "suite" and could hear whole conversations in the kitchen, which is in the direct opposite side of the building, in a floor down. So if you're lucky and no one else is in the building, or if the other dwellers aim to sleep as you do, you'll be able to sleep. If however, people decide that their rooms, or the kitchen are places to socialize all through the night, you better have ear plugs. The decoration is ok, but both the mattress and the sheets felt poor. The only reason I'm giving two stars instead of 1 is because Catarina, the hostess, was nice and polite.
