The population in 2011 was 47,729, in an area of 335.27 km². It had 16,994 eligible voters in 2006. The town itself had a population of 3,077 in 2001.

We went to the Boutique Pao de Barro for a light dinner. We both ordered a tosta and they were delicious!!! If I could give this 10 stars I would. The tosta with salmon is to die for. I never would have put together such a combination (smoked salmon, feta cheese, rucula and a cherry jam) but it is mouthwatering. My husband ordered the tosta mista especial which is ham and cheese with lettuce and tomato and it also was very good. Their chips are homemade and served in a cute little tin pail. They were nice and crunchy but not greasy. After we ate, the owner took us across the street and showed us where they make their bread. Quite an operation -- obviously their bread is shipped all over the region. Whenever we are in the area, we will definitely try to include a stop here.

After a customer meeting nothing like asking a local friend where to lunch. He couldnât give a better tip.The place is very nice, elegant/fancy the staff is very polite and always checking if everything is as expected.The food....well.....butter like veal.....and a very nice price for the meal.If you are near.....go there with the assurance of getting a great service.

Small but friendly restaurant, the serve thin pizza just like in Italy. They do also really cartoon designs in the Pizzas just for the kids. Located in the center of town.Not overpriced but also not cheap.
