Stayed at a hotel without breakfast and were hungry. Went to Art Café and got a really great meal and fantastic service. Large amount of food and not too expensive. Really a "must" for guests of the Tromsoe city. Great menu, exatly what you should expect from a restaurant at island in the middle of Norwegian fjord. I went for ingredients I had not previously tried, and was not disappointed. Excellent service, excellent interior, excellent tastes.

No, it's not a trap. Some of the locals will probably claim its a tourist trap. I've been there a few times and I had some fish soup at my last visit. That was one of my better calls on this trip. They had this fish soup buffe during lunch hours, and the guy working there convinced me I should give it a try. I'm glad he did. That's one of the best fish soups I've tasted in a long time.The selection of beer is also quite impressive compared to the other bars in Tromsø. So here you can combine a really good meal and choose between a good variation of beer. Not only local.

We stopped by this lovely eatery on a sunny Saturday morning whilst visiting Tromso. We chose to sit outside and enjoyed looking over the old harbour whilst enjoying our refreshments.On this occasion we only had drinks, but if I visited again, I would try to bring an appetite so as to be able to try the 'Reindeer Burger' lunch meal!The waitress who served us was friendly, spoke excellent English and had a lovely smile!
