My fiancé and I went here for dinner. It was a good surprise to find many vegetarian options. We had soup, main courses and dessert. Everything was tasty and the portions very abundant enough. An episode that made me really happy and wanting to return here (other than the tasty food and the cozy atmosphere) was when a stray cat came outside the restaurant and started hanging around the tables, at this point many owners would have the kicked out the poor thing but not here: the owner went to the kitchen, brought a dish of food and gave it to the cat who happily left the place. Tasty food, cozy atmosphere and great people. Came here thinking of Tuskers beer in Mombasa. No associations but they did serve well-chilled Lion Lager - a welcome respite from the adventuring and heat during the day. Seating and service were prompt and friendly - no advance reservation required. We were exhausted so it was simply beer, fish and chips and off to bed. Tip - The WC was close by along with a Billiards (or was it pool) table. A really nice restaurant with a view of the hotel pool. We were concerned with mosquitoes but we need not have worried and were not affected. They did have some seating outside the main area. Tuskers is open from 6am to 12midnight which I thought was great.

We had meals here on 9th to 11th and tasted their breakfast, lunch and dinner when we stayed at Acme Hotel. All were average meals. They give buffet style service for all meals mainly to cater for travellers. Everything was average or less - cleanliness, service, taste, fruits. There is a bar at the restaurant that serves all drinks beer, spirits and soft. When you stay at the hotel, you have to eat here as there are no other restaurants close by. I told the owners to try to maintain the standards at the restaurant to be at least equal to that at the hotel.
