Been going there for 35 years and never a bad tenderloin biscuit! They serve Cheeriwine and that makes my heart happy! Those gravy biscuits are pretty tasty too!

No meal brings happiness to your face year-round quite like barbecue. The smokey aroma of ribs, freshly made BBQ sauce, and beef stew fills your heart and stomach with joy. For over 43 years, Tommy's Barbecue has provided residents in Thomasville, NC, wit
We visited for lunch today (Saturday), and our expectations were not too high due to the recent Trip Advisor Reviews. Are we ever glad that we did not choose to go elsewhere based on these reviews?!? The barbecue, slaw, and hush puppies were absolutely delicious, and the Brunswick Stew was undoubtedly some of the best we've had. We have been on a barbecue tour for approximately 5 years now, some restaurants we have reviewed on Trip Advisor, and some not, but suffice it to say that we have visited 70+ barbecue restaurants in NC, SC, GA, VA, and TX, but primarily in NC, and Tommy's stands up to some of the very best!We had the Chopped Barbecue Plate with Barbecue Slaw, French Fries, and Hush Puppies, with a side of Brunswick Stew. We were a party of four, each of us a barbecue aficionado, and we were pleasantly surprised by our delicious lunch. The sweet tea was perfect, and the wait staff could not be nicer, coming back around to top off our glass every time we had a few sips! Because we were celebrating a birthday, the four of us shared a delicious homemade chocolate brownie, which we enjoyed very much!We live an hour and a half away, but if you find yourself near Thomasville, you cannot go wrong with Tommy's! Thanks for a delicious lunch, and we hope to return in the near future.

Like a number of mom & pop, meat & 2 restaurants with barbecue somewhere in the name and somewhere on the menu, this is not a classic barbecue joint. There is no sign that the barbecue served here is cooked here, and it could be a commercially secured product. They serve all 3 meals Tue - Sun, and breakfast seems to be a big draw. They have daily meat and 2 plates like CS Steak, etc. They offer Pork Barbecue, a variety of Fried Seafood, sandwiches, burgers, hot dogs, and salads. We tried a Cheeseburger, Hot Dog, and a Chopped BBQ sandwich. The Hot Dog was pretty good, and with a little more chili, it could be very good. The wiener is the bright red kind, the chili is good, but lightly applied, and the bun is nice & soft. The Cheeseburger is a nice diner style burger - smallish, a little greasy, but with some nice flavor. We tend to eat this type burger with just mayo & pickles, or with chili, onions, & slaw - seems like a smaller burger gets swallowed by a large slice of tomato. The barbecue was just ordinary, and in fact, it tasted stale. The barbecue slaw is the red kind. Wouldn't order the barbecue again, but would try some of the country cooking items, seafood, and breakfast, for sure. Our 3 sandwiches and 2 diet sodas cost $8.03, much more than reasonable. Service was very, very good, and they have a drive through for those on the go.
