I love this Wegmans! It's gigantic, clean, reasonably priced, and unique! It has a wide selection of dinner foods, including sushi, a salad bar, a Chinese food bar, and Italian food. Everything tastes amazing, and there's even a nice seating arrangement for eating in the supermarket!
My girlfriend decided to take in a Chinese exchange student for the school year and little did she know that this girl spoke very little English and her parents knew no English..Well they came to meet us for the first time and we were trying to figure out where to take them to dinner, as they said they could eat anything and we decided on pasta and then at the last minute we changed our minds and decided to take them to a Chinese restaurant where they might feel more comfortable. So we took them to A Taste of China. At first dinner was extremely awkward because no one spoke the language. Her father had an app on his phone that he could type in in Chinese and would text in English so we could read it. But this was still very uncomfortable. When we entered the restaurant we were greeted by a sweet little girl maybe 12 years old and her family immediately spoke to her and Chinese and the little girl responded back. And then a waitress possibly her mother was helping decipher the menu for them because it was in English. So after we were eating dinner and it was still getting uncomfortable, I had an idea and I asked the waitress if she could interpret for us and she said yes, and so we were able to talk to the girl's parents and tell them how happy we were to know them and thank them for dinner and ask a few other questions that were on our minds. Our waitress was absolutely amazing and extremely accommodating to our situation and we knew then that our choice definitely was right. She made all of us feel extremely comfortable in the situation and made it so nice to be able to communicate with her family.I cannot imagine what it would be like to be dropped off in a country with very limited language and try to communicate with people especially without some kind of help. It just goes to show the kindness people have in this world despite language barriers. So my hat definitely goes off to A Taste of China and that very sweet little girl and her mother waitress. :-)

This place is always hopping, but it does not keep the staff from being engaged, attentive, and kind!As with any good restaurant, good experiences begin with very good ingredients and well-executed preparation. Han scored well on both counts!Chinese staples, like soups were standouts. I ordered one of the specialty dishes, said and vegetables, and my wife had the braised beef buns. Both were great.Place is crowded and noisy, and not handicap friendly, but the overall experience was positive.
Where to eat Italian food in Irondequoit: The Best Restaurants and Bars
I have gotten takeout here before, and found the restaurant to be clean and the portions reasonable. I called on Sunday afternoon 2/17/13 to place a takeout order. The restaurant offers combination dinners that serve 4 people. The last time I got one of these I wrote down the different items included. Rather than just order theâ A3 comboâ I asked the person on the phone to verify the items included. He rattled them off at a rapid pace. Please note, he was American and had no accent, so there was no difficulty understanding him. But the items werenât the same as the list in front of me. So I asked him to verify: âThe combo no longer includes an appetizer?â And he said yes. And I said, âPlease tell me what you said the chicken entrée was again?â At this he became irate, and snapped that he was super busy and didnât have time for this because he had too much work. I said thanks very much, youâve now lost my business for good, and called another Chinese restaurant that was happy to take my order.
