At the north end of Culver Road is a community with a great waterside tradition. SeaBreeze is where Lake Ontario and Irondequoit Bay meet. It includes an amusement park with a historic wooden coaster and a number of restaurants ranging from hamburgers and hots to full meals. Our favorite is the Parkside Diner which is located near the entrance of Durand-Eastman Park. It specializes in breakfast and lunch items and stays open on Friday nights for their famous Fish Fry. The menu features two pages of breakfast items to include a variety of weekday and weekend/holiday specials, two pages of lunch selections, and homemade dinner selections. The 'Good Morning America' Breakfast Special is a particular favorite. The two dinner favorites are Roast Turkey and the Fish Fry. Be sure to have the homemade mashed potatoes which are exceptional. The wait staff are friendly and attentive. And the food never disappoints. Afterwards stop next door at the Parkside Miniature Golf or take the park trail west along Lake Ontario. There is even a neighborhood bowling alley across Culver and a few doors down. SeaBreeze and the Parkside are the summer places to explore.

This used to be one of our favorite places to eat, but lately we've noticed a lack of quality and a lack of customers as well. Perhaps one has something to do with the other. My veal parm, which usually had a wonderfully tasty homemade sauce, this time tasted like the chef had opened up a can of Hunt's tomato sauce and dumped it on. My wife's fish was bland and tasteless.

We did not eat breakfast here but dinner on a recent Friday night. I think they only do dinners on Fridays so call before you go.... Also they only take cash but a big bonus is BYOB - so a nice way to save a few dollars.It was empty on a Friday night - compared to the weekend breakfast crowds we were surprised. The waitress could not have been friendlier.We ordered the shrimp and grits which was excellent. The Smokehouse plate was heaping with ribs, chicken and pulled pork but it was a mixed success. The pulled pork was fantastic, the chicken was moist (it helps that it was the leg/thigh) and the ribs were just OK. They did not appear to be smoked - too bad. I saw many other dishes I would order so we will be back for dinner.

My husband ordered a western omelette that came with home fries. It was quite large and filling! The home fries were very good as well. I ordered the 1/2 sandwich and soup combo. Chose the onion soup but was disappointed. Not enough beef flavor, bread and a slice of provolone, found it lacking. The turkey sandwich had lots of meat, a bit of mayo on white bread. Only ok. Saw a great looking reuben go by to another table that looked great. Also, most breakfast items looked very well done and appetizing. Probably will stop again but make other food choices. Waitress took a while to get to us for the check.

This restaurant is a classic neighborhood restaurant. Many of the patrons are regulars. They serve foods you've had before, but it's better here. You can talk with the chef, and waitresses, like they and you are old friends. From Bacon & eggs, to tasty steaks, all the food is prepared well, and tastes good. You become a regular too, if you try this place out. Tom's restaurant is located in the Dunn Plaza, on the corner of Hudson Ave & Ridge Rd.East.(Irondequoit, NY) a very close suburb east of Rochester. (off Rt 104, Hudson Rd exit)

My friends picked up this place. I was hesitant because the reviews.I was pleasantly surprised. Nice locale and decor, full of people eating in groups, couples, friends. Good ambiance.Our waitress was very nice and attentive.We ordered Shrimp Scampi, Ruben Sandwich, Country Steak. The food was good. I enjoyed my meal and so did my friends. They are regulars here.The Scampi came over spaghetti with a nice salad.The Country Steak with two sides( Rice & Veggies).The Rubens with Fries.Prices are moderate.Desserts Rice Pudding warmed, with Whipped Cream and sprinkled with Cinnamon.Shared Cream Chocolate Pie.Coffee.

This review is about a Garbage Plate and only about a Garbage Plate. I only get here once a year when visiting friends and while not being a native of the Rochester area I know there is a lot of debate about who's the best. For me, it's Irondequoit Hots, their plates come in a variety of options and even late (late) at night you're sure to get your craving fulfilled. It's a well-worn, well-loved location so if you're a Garbage Plate rookie, don't be scared!

Wonderful family run real diner food real fast real diner service at counter great in booths wonderful. Bottomless coffee âï¸ with breakfast when ordered. If the Owner Elana does not know your name she will by your third visit! Well established always polite staff always clean just the best diner in town.

I stopped by this place after a dentist appointment to grab some breakfast before going to work. I passed by the dessert display as I headed to my seat and started watching the local news as I glanced through the extensive menu.I ordered scrambled eggs, french toast and bacon which I got in quick order and hit the spot. The service was very good and I will most likely consider going back for lunch some time as their menu has a lot of choices and if my breakfast was any indication, this will be a nice place to frequent.
