Not a bad dinner place but it doesnât live up to some of the reviews and its branding. On our visit there were items off the menu, mix ups with dishes, burnt lasagne (how?!!) and some interesting, but not very Italian, plating choices. The music here is played over a mini hifi and Iâd recommend not sitting near it. Overall I felt I paid too much for what could have been so much better. The wait staff were friendly and professional considering the issues and should be credited.

Had dinner here on a Wednesday night and i donât think they were prepared for a busy evening... the waitress was lovely and worked like a Trojan but with every table in the restaurant occupied, mistakes were made. I received my meal (Ravioli) quite quickly, but the pizza my husband ordered didnât arrive... turns out it was delivered to the wrong table so they had to make a new pizza for us... by the time it arrived I had finished my meal so we asked to take it away, which they quickly organized for us. We were given a discount and a very sincere apology (at the end of the day, this is all you need when an honest mistake is made) . My ravioli was quite yummy but husband / son said their pizza was only so-so, which was surprising because it looked delicious.

The Alps has only recently opened at the Deer Park Motor inn. The menu isn't huge. The quality of the food is excellent - sourced locally. The chicken schnitzel came with very fresh asparagus spears. The mustard encrusted porterhouse was cooked to perfection and very tasty. Dessert portions were just right. I was a bit spoiled as managed to order one fo the desserts minus the sultanas. For those that partake in alchololic beverages there appeared to be a variety of local 'drops' on offer. Service was up there with a fivse star establishment. The Alps offers something althernative to the eating scene in Armidale.Thank you for the great review Michelle.We are so pleased that you enjoyed your dining experience with us. Good food, reasonable price, friendly staff. The menu is not extensive for in-house dining but I was prepared to go back for a second night (the weather was too crap to be looking for alternatives)
