Poor value for money

Reviewed By Grace D

There was no bathtub in the very basic room for $300 per night and the room key was faulty. The TV didn’t work so not the best value for money. The location is good and the lagoon pool is lovely.. just think it’s a little over priced and not sure why.

Excellent Family Weekend Getaway

We had the most magical weekend away with our kids. There was activities for them to partake in and the property was breathtaking. Sitting in front of the open fire with a glass of wine and spectacular food was so indulgent. From the nocturnal night tour to horse riding, to tennis and bike riding, it was the perfect weekend of activity and luxury. We will definitely be back!

Just ok

Reviewed By Lauren B

For the price I thought the experience would be slightly better. No milk or soap in the rooms. But they had a kettle and coffee set up which was strange. Breakfast at was average. Wet cutlery, no serviettes, had to scrap your plate and clean the table afterwards. Beds were comfy and showers were great. Communal area is good for kids with board games etc. parking convenient. Probably fine for one night but I wouldn’t want to be here any longer. Felt a bit school camp like.

Relaxing, highly recommended Yoga retreat

We stayed in a glamping tent for 2 nights in June. Although the weather was cold, the tents had electric blankets so we were very warm at night. The toilets and showers were clean and modern. We attended a variety of yoga classes, workshops and walks. The teachers were all passionate and knowledgeable. We were well fed also. Very good value for money.

Perfection

Reviewed By timmyg25

We spent four nights at Corroboree Lodge. Anna and Bob are the perfect hosts, completely relaxed but totally "on the case" ably helped by Yogi the perfect dog companion who seemed to know whenever the time was right for a pat or cuddle. Our room was lovely with a huge and extremely comfortable bed as well as a sun room looking straight out to the hills beyond. We spent the first two days walking the mountain landscape, breathing the perfectly clean and clear air. Then came the fog and rain which helped to round off the mountain experience allowing for some quintessential Snowy Mountain snap shots of mist soaked Snow Gums, And then a wonderful communal dinner, a couple of games of Backgammon and a chat to Bob over a delightfully warming peaty Scotch. What more can a soul ask for??

Amazing people, peace and serenity. Amazing teachers and experience - food is beautiful - if you’re thinking of attending Krishna Village for one of their courses, do it - drive through the gates and leave the world as you know it - behind. I honestly cannot recommend this beautiful place and life enough Jan Field ?

We (& our dog) needed an overnight stay due to car's mechanical problems. We were lucky enough to find Melville House and wished we could have stayed longer to enjoy the 'old-world' atmosphere & facilities. Everything was very clean and comfortable. On the basis of value-for-money, cleanliness and comfort, it easily deserves a 5-Star rating . The reasons I gave 4 stars (rather than 5) were that after all, it is not a luxury venue, shops/cafes are not within walking distance and parking was a little difficult. Also, the 3-Stars I gave for 'Service' was not because there was any problem with the service; it's just that we couldn't really form an opinion: after checking in we had no need of any service & departed early the next morning.

Old school charm

Reviewed By BelleCose

Pleasant cabins in a great location. We stayed in a beachfront cabin - very spacious - with a great view and jacuzzi, lovely for a walk on the beach. Staff were extremely friendly. It is not modern luxury, more old school, but very relaxing. It's a shame they don't do the dinner buffet any more as I remember that being very good. The continental breakfast is pretty basic and a bit disappointing that barista coffee wasn't included in that (only instant help yourself). But overall a nice place to relax and re-charge.

A Magical weekend !

Reviewed By Lesnne77

Where can I begin? I will start by saying how warm welcoming the Cody family were when we arrived for our weekend away with our friends to celebrate the engagement of my dearest friend and her fiancé. I was blown away with how much charm and relaxed ambience this beautiful place has. The accommodation was better than I was expecting with a cosy room including a private bathroom. Beds had electric blankets which made the night even cosier. My 3 year old son really enjoyed seeing the horses, chickens, alpaca and loved running around in the wonderful open spaces. As well, loved hanging out with Brian and Sasha’s boys xx The food was amazing all weekend and every single time we had a meal. Thank you beautiful Jan and Sasha for providing hearty meals, especially the homemade butter, sauces and bread were a bonus! Thank you Mike Cody for amazing poetry after dinner, this was one of the highlights for my husband and I, you are such a talented gentleman with an amazing sense of humour. Thank you Brian for the great entertainment after dinner as well singing along with us and singing a few Irish tunes that really got everyone going ha ha ;-). Especially the last one which incorporated some much needed exercise especially after that amazing dinner and red wine . I can go on and on but I think I’ll leave it at that. We have already booked our next visit and Chesleigh farm will definitely be on my list every year from this day forward. A big thank you to all the Cody family and also to the beautiful friends we spent the weekend here with, especially Victoria and John for organising such a magicial weekend . Until next time x Leanne A

Great Family Experience

Travelling to the snow as a family can be very expensive! However Ski Rider make this possible on an affordable budget. They provide all breakfast and dinner meals which the kids loved the buffet style food :) There is a seperate restaurant in the bar area if that takes your fancy. The buses to the snow can get a bit busy but there is always enough room to take everyone who wants to go. The convenience of having the ski hire on site is so good as well. The team were very helpful in getting me a new pair of boots sent up to the slopes on day 1 as I had picked the wrong size (such amazing service). The rooms are basic and bathrooms small but that is all you need after a big day on the slopes. We visited in August 2019 and look forward to going back again!
